19:21': Huy Hoang, Quy Phuoc, Hung Nguyen and Kim Son finished first in the men's 4x200m freestyle relay. In the first leg, Kim Son (lane number 7) was not in the top 3 in the first 150m. In the last 50m, the Vietnamese swimmer accelerated and rose to 3rd place.

In the second round, Huy Hoang was left far behind in the first 150m, but still tried to catch up with the two athletes from Singapore and Malaysia. Quy Phuoc tried to narrow the gap so that Hung Nguyen could make the decisive turn. In his strong distance, Hung Nguyen accelerated strongly to surpass both opponents, thereby bringing home the gold medal.

The Vietnamese team's achievement was 7 minutes 18 seconds 51, less than the old record at SEA Games 31 (7 minutes 16 seconds 31).

18:56': Pham Thanh Bao was the first to complete the 50m. In the sprint, he continued his form by finishing first in the 100m breaststroke, thereby winning the gold medal with a time of 1 minute 0.97 seconds, a new record at the Southeast Asian Games.

18:43': The Vietnamese men's volleyball team could not create any surprises and continued to lose 18-25 in the third set, thereby accepting a final defeat of 0-3 against Indonesia. Ngoc Thuan and his teammates still have a chance to compete for the SEA Games bronze medal.

18:38': Vietnamese swimming prodigy Nguyen Thuy Hien could not compete for medals with her Singaporean and Thai opponents. The young Vietnamese athlete finished 6th out of 8 athletes competing in the women's 200m freestyle with a time of 2 minutes, 07 seconds 17. The gold medal went to Singaporean athlete Hwee Gan with a time of 2 minutes, 01 seconds 76, the silver medal went to Thailand (2 minutes, 02 seconds 21), and the bronze medal went to Hwee Gan's compatriot, Yi Chan.

18:28': Vietnamese-American athlete Jeremie Loic Nino Luong finished 3rd in the final of the men's 50m freestyle, winning the bronze medal with a time of 22 seconds 84. The gold medal went to 20-year-old Singaporean athlete Jonathan Tan with a time of 21 seconds 95. Previously, he also won the gold medal in the men's 100m freestyle.

18:19': The Indonesian team demonstrated their superior strength in set 2 to win 25-19, thereby leading Vietnam 2-0 in the men's volleyball semi-finals of the 32nd SEA Games.

17:45': The Vietnamese men's volleyball team played impressively against the strongest opponent in Southeast Asia, Indonesia. Tu Thanh Thuan and his teammates had 3 opportunities to win set-points but missed them all, leading to a defeat in the first set with a score of 28-30.

17:10' : Nguyen Van Duong was defeated by Bautista in the 57kg boxing qualifying round. This was Van Duong's second consecutive defeat at the SEA Games against his Philippine opponent. Bautista deserved to win thanks to his tenacious style of play, solid defense, and accurate punches.

16:49' : At 17:30 this afternoon (May 7), the Vietnamese men's volleyball team will have a semi-final match with Indonesia, the strongest opponent in the region. Indonesia showed their strength by winning all 3 group stage matches against Cambodia, Singapore and the Philippines without losing any set.

16:12': Thai Thi Hong Thoa lost to her Thai opponent, Sarachit, 2-13 in the women's petanque final, thus unable to defend the SEA Games women's single petanque gold medal.

16:05': Nguyen Thanh Liem competed excellently to win the Vovinam gold medal in the men's under 60 kg combat category.

16:03' : Thai Thi Hong Thoa defeated her Malaysian opponent in the semi-finals, but in the finals, she was led 10-2 by her Thai opponent, Siron Sarachit.

15:38 ': Do Thi Phuong Thao excellently defeated her opponent from Thailand to bring home the gold medal in vovinam combat in the under 60 kg weight category.

14:56': Jujitsu athlete Dao Hong Son successfully defended his SEA Games gold medal in the 56 kg category, surpassing the Singaporean athlete in terms of sub-indicators.

14:54': Dinh Thi Huong won the gold medal in the kumite category under 68 kg after an overwhelming 7-4 victory over her opponent from the Philippines. This is the 4th gold medal for the Vietnamese karate team at the 32nd SEA Games.

14:38': Hoang Thi My Tam defeated Indonesian athlete with a score of 4-3 to bring home the first gold medal in the kumite event, and also the third gold medal of Vietnamese karate at the 32nd SEA Games.

14:36': In the Vovinam dual practice competition number 3, 2 Vietnamese athletes, Bui Hong Cuong and Nguyen Van Tien won silver medals. Myanmar won 270 points, thereby winning the gold medal.
