Rashford has joined Aston Villa on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season, with an option to buy for £40m. Rashford has made four assists and impressed in his appearances at Villa Park.
Witnessing Rashford's performance at Villa, coach Thomas Tuchel called him back to the England team, marking the return of the Carrington-trained player after more than a year of absence.
According to The Sun , Rashford's consistent form has forced Manchester United to reconsider his value and will likely demand a transfer fee higher than £40 million amid a number of big clubs tracking the 1997-born player, including Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown said: "With interest from Villa and big clubs abroad, plus Rashford being named in the England squad, his value will now be much higher."
Currently, Rashford is valued at 42 million pounds by statistics site Transfermarkt .
Previously, Manchester United had demanded £100 million for Rashford after the 2022/23 season, when he scored 30 goals. However, after signing a new contract with a salary of £320,000 per week, the English striker declined rapidly and was constantly involved in off-field troubles, and was removed from the plan by coach Ruben Amorim.
Barcelona negotiated to loan Rashford in the early 2025 transfer window. However, the deal fell through at the last minute due to the Catalan club not having enough space in their wage bill.
