Launching the Peak Day of Volunteering to join hands in building new rural areas in Ninh Binh

On the morning of July 23, in Ninh Binh, the Central Youth Union launched the launching ceremony of the Peak Day "Volunteering to join hands to build new rural areas and Green Sunday" at the Central level in 2023.

At the same time, 63 provinces and cities across the country simultaneously organized activities for the Peak Volunteer Day to join hands in building new rural areas in 2023.

Attending and chairing the launching ceremony were comrade Ngo Van Cuong, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Youth Union Inspection Committee; comrade Trinh Nhu Lam, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, local leaders and more than 1,000 union members and youth of Ninh Binh province.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, comrade Ngo Van Cuong, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, said that in order to effectively implement the Peak Day of joining hands to build new rural areas and the 3rd Green Sunday, in the 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, Youth Union chapters at all levels need to proactively and creatively deploy and diversify the contents of participating in building new rural areas, especially in the field of transferring scientific and technological advances, helping rural youth gain knowledge and conditions to develop agricultural production, get rich from farming, process agricultural products, aquaculture, manage agricultural resources and develop services related to rural areas; Promote the youth's strength, spirit and intelligence to participate in solving rural challenges, and at the same time contribute their opinions and ideas to create creative and effective solutions.

Union members and young people continue to carry out activities to support farmers in applying digital transformation and exploiting the potential of the digital economy in production management, promoting and promoting trade of agricultural products, especially local OCOP products. Thereby, promoting the ability of young people to apply digital technology to support localities in propaganda, communication and support people in using digital applications.

Comrade Ngo Van Cuong emphasized that the grassroots Youth Union needs to focus on bringing young intellectual teams to join hands in building new rural areas to the locality, research and initiate start-up projects to create new products and services, and promote the diversification of the rural economy.

"Through the program, union members and young people will have more new projects and models to contribute to the construction of new rural areas. Therefore, it is necessary to actively promote meaningful activities and programs, and introduce good models in the construction of new rural areas to many other localities.

The Youth Union at all levels continues to pay attention to and support union members and young people to start and establish businesses. Because before that, many young people were unemployed due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. OCCOP products of young people need to be promoted on social networking platforms, like the program implemented by the Central Youth Union in Bac Kan and Bac Giang."

The peak day of Volunteering to join hands in building new rural areas and the nationwide Green Sunday will continue to be an opportunity for young people to affirm their determination, sense of responsibility, and enthusiasm in building new rural areas, protecting the environment, and responding to climate change towards sustainable development, contributing to building a rich, beautiful, and civilized homeland and country.

After the launching ceremony, the following activities took place: Opening of the digital agricultural booth on the Metaverse platform - an online agricultural product exhibition; exhibition promoting Ninh Binh tourism on a digital platform; visiting and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; Implementing the "Youth Tree Row" project; medical examination, health consultation, and free medicine distribution for 300 policy beneficiaries; opening electronic payment accounts, issuing transaction QR codes, and electronic payments for 500 small traders in the area; launching the "Worth-Living Village" model; training on transferring science and technology to 100 union members and young people for economic development; inauguration of the "Mural Road" youth project participating in building a Happy School; Training conference on waste classification at source in rural areas.

On this occasion, the Central Youth Union presented resources to Ninh Binh Provincial Youth Union: 1 model of waste classification at source in rural areas worth 100 million VND; 1 agricultural product platform on the Metaverse virtual universe worth 100 million VND; "Lighting up the countryside" route model worth 125 million VND.

Ninh Binh Provincial Youth Union presented to the locality: Medical examination, health consultation, free medicine distribution for policy beneficiaries worth 125 million VND; "Lighting up the countryside" project worth 100 million VND; 01 "Youth tree line" project and 40 public trash bins worth 50 million VND; youth project "Mural route" worth 65 million VND; donated 17 social insurance books to disadvantaged people who have not participated in social insurance worth 33,660,000 VND; coordinated to donate 10 bicycles (each worth 2 million VND) to students in especially difficult circumstances...
