(BGDT) - On July 16, at Luc Ngan High School No. 4, Bac Giang Provincial Youth Union launched the peak campaign "Green Summer" 2023, attracting more than 300 youth union members to participate.

This is a branch campaign of the “Summer Youth Volunteers 2023” campaign. The peak period takes place from July 1 to August 31. The core force is students and lecturers from universities and colleges; students and teachers from vocational training institutions and local youth in the campaign area.

Leaders of the Provincial Youth Union and Luc Ngan District Party Committee presented gifts to wounded soldiers and relatives of martyrs.

The content focuses on activities to participate in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; protecting the environment, responding to climate change; ensuring traffic order and safety, social security; guiding people to use online public services; propagating and educating the law for youth union members; preserving and promoting the traditional cultural identity of local ethnic groups; improving foreign language, information technology, physical and mental health for children; building and repairing playgrounds, renovating school toilets; supporting people in harvesting and consuming agricultural products...

On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union mobilized Khang Baby brand to donate 20 gifts to war invalids and martyrs' relatives (worth 350,000 VND/gift); and donated 5 "Red Scarf Chickens" to students who overcame difficulties to study well, each flock worth 500,000 VND.

The emulation cluster of universities and colleges in the province coordinated with Luc Ngan District Youth Union and Tan Son Commune Youth Union to construct the project "Green Youth" including: Equipping 5 trash bins for village and hamlet cultural houses; planting 500 acacia seedlings; cleaning and sweeping the fence of Tan Son Commune Martyrs' Cemetery; repairing power lines, giving electric fans to families of martyrs and lonely elderly people; organizing singing and dancing activities, summer activities, giving gifts to children in difficult circumstances. The total cost of implementing the above activities is 15 million VND.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, youth union members from the following schools: Bac Giang University of Agriculture and Forestry, Bac Giang Industrial Technical College; Bac Giang Vietnam - Korea Technology College; Bac Giang Ngo Gia Tu College, together with local youth, divided into groups to guide and improve skills in using computers, exploiting the internet, and social networks safely and effectively for highland youth; repair and replace power lines for policy households; train youth in fire prevention and fighting and electrical safety in the summer; clean and beautify the Tan Son Commune Martyrs' Cemetery; plant acacia seedlings...
