(Haiphong.gov.vn) – On the morning of March 28, at May Chai market, May Chai ward (Ngo Quyen district) organized the launching of the model "Civilized and safe market gate" to contribute to building a spacious and clean May Chai market, bringing more and more development to commercial activities, demonstrating civilization and progress according to the requirements of society.
Taking over from the warehouse of the Glass Factory in 1993, May Chai Market was officially established in 1995. The market was recognized by the People's Committee of Ngo Quyen District as a Class 3 market, assigned to the Ward People's Committee for direct management and assigned to the Market Management Team for operation. The market has a total area of 1,841 m2 with nearly 40 registered business households.

Accordingly, to effectively implement the model of "Civilized and safe May Chai Market Gate", the Ward People's Committee assigned the May Chai Ward Youth Union to regularly organize propaganda and mobilize traders to implement the criteria of a civilized commercial market, especially the work of maintaining environmental hygiene, ensuring traffic safety, security and order. The Ward Police together with the Ward Urban Management Team regularly remind business households, traders, and people participating in buying and selling activities to ensure that they do not encroach on sidewalks, do not let vehicles encroach on the roadway and curbs, causing traffic obstruction, and at the same time have deterrent sanctions for business households that deliberately violate.

The Management Board of May Chai Market actively propagates and mobilizes to raise awareness among traders in building a civilized communication and behavior in commercial business, not soliciting and competing for customers; posting prices and selling at listed prices, not displaying goods encroaching on sidewalks and roads; collecting and storing waste in designated places.
