Over the past year, the movement of All People Protecting National Security has always been paid attention to, directed and implemented by the Party Committee and leaders of the Department of Transport, and achieved positive results. The sense of responsibility of civil servants, public employees and workers in the fight against crime and ensuring security and order at the agency has been raised; the political security situation and social order and safety in the area have been maintained.
Thereby, the movement of All people protecting national security in the provincial Department of Transport has clearly changed. As a result, 100% of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers signed a commitment to compete to well implement the rules and regulations and build an agency that meets the standards of "Safety in security and order"; 100% of cadres, civil servants and public employees well implemented patriotic emulation movements, contributing to building a strong Party organization, government and mass organizations; not allowing the occurrence of insecurity, disorder and social evils.
The Department of Transport also regularly directs functional departments and all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to raise awareness and responsibility in crime prevention and control and law violations; always proactively grasp information from the masses and organizations and individuals to promptly prevent and handle violations of the law, causing insecurity, disorder and traffic safety, and destroying traffic works; contributing to reducing criminal activities and law violations in the province.
Although the work of preventing and combating crimes and law violations of the Transport sector in the past has achieved some remarkable results, there are still some difficulties and problems such as: The force in charge of handling administrative violations of the Department is still small; support tools and equipment for this force are limited; operating costs have not met requirements. The commendation and expansion of positive factors participating in the movement of All People Protecting National Security is still low; there are still some cadres in affiliated units who violate to the extent that disciplinary action must be considered...
Based on the analysis and evaluation of the achieved results as well as the shortcomings and limitations, in the coming time, the Department of Transport will continue to strengthen propaganda and mobilize cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to actively fight against and denounce crimes, especially acts of smuggling, manufacturing, trading and storing fireworks and weapons.
Along with that, regularly check and monitor the signed commitments of cadres, civil servants and public employees not to violate traffic laws, drug abuse, prostitution and other social evils.
The Department of Transport directs the unit's inspection force to proactively and strengthen coordination with the Waterway and Road Traffic Police, Vinh City Police and related units to inspect and strictly handle violations that affect the infrastructure of road and inland waterway traffic works; passenger and cargo transport vehicles that do not ensure technical safety, vehicles that pick up and drop off passengers at the wrong places, especially ensuring traffic safety during holidays, Tet, and major events of the province.
The agency's self-defense force of 15 people is proactive in ensuring security, order and safety of the agency and fully participates in professional training courses.
The conference approved the Decision to establish the Steering Committee for the movement "All people protect national security" of the Department of Transport and the Regulations on the operation of the Steering Committee.
On this occasion, the Department of Transport launched a competition and signed a commitment to implement the movement of All people protecting national security in 2024.
