Practically aiming to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Ham Rong Victory Day (April 3, 4, 1965 - April 3, 4, 2025), Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum has worked hard to collect and preserve hundreds of valuable documents, artifacts, souvenirs and authentic images related to the indomitable and resilient fight of our army and people against the US imperialists' air war of destruction in the North at the Ham Rong fire coordinates.
In the outdoor space, Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum is displaying large original artifacts, which are weapons and equipment used by the Vietnamese Army and people during the years of fighting against the destructive war of the US imperialists in the North, such as the MIG-17 aircraft numbered 3029, manufactured by the Soviet Union and provided to Vietnam (the first aircraft used by the Vietnamese Air Force to fight back against the US Air Force to protect Ham Rong Bridge on April 3-4, 1965); 100mm anti-aircraft artillery, symbol: KS-19M2 (KS-M 1949 100mm); 57mm anti-aircraft artillery barrel, symbol: S-60 M.1950.57mm...

These are all weapons that directly participated in the battle to protect Ham Rong bridge during the period when the US imperialists escalated their air strikes against the North.
The exhibition space of the room “Thanh Hoa Patriotic and Revolutionary Tradition” has hundreds of typical documents, images and artifacts directly related to the fight to protect Ham Rong Bridge. Each artifact is a different story about the sacrifices, hardships, pain and loss, happiness, joy of victory…
Those are the rifles and K54 submachine guns of the self-defense team protecting Ham Rong bridge; the machine guns of the Ngoc mountain machine gun team; the 12.7mm anti-aircraft gun barrels of the Hoa Loc female militia platoon (Hau Loc district); the sight of the Hoang Truong veteran platoon (Hoang Hoa district)...
Besides, there is a collection of US imperialist weapons including pieces of B52 aircraft wreckage; AD-6 aircraft wreckage, unmanned aircraft head (spy aircraft), A6A aircraft seat, overalls, shoes, hats, begging flags, identity cards... equipment of US pilots whose planes were shot down and the Thanh Hoa army and people captured the enemy pilots in 1965...
With the contrasting display technique between the primitive weapons of the army and people of Ham Rong on one side and the modern weapons (plane wrecks, military uniforms, military equipment) of the US empire on the other side, it helps visitors have a more realistic view of the unequal war of the past.
It can be affirmed that the historical artifacts and relics currently on display at Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum have contributed to the brilliant golden history of the Party Committee and people of Thanh Hoa province in general and the historic Ham Rong victory in particular.

Nguyen Xuan Loc (11th grade student at Dao Duy Tu High School, Thanh Hoa city) said that on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Ham Rong victory, his school organized for students to visit the exhibition room at Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum.
Coming here, Loc was very moved and proud to hear, to see, to see the artifacts, images, and stories related to the Ham Rong fire coordinates and the resounding victories of our army and people in the war to protect Ham Rong bridge.
Nguyen Xuan Loc shared: "I understand more about the sacrifices and losses of previous generations and appreciate the value of peace more. I promise to study well to become a useful person, contributing my small part to build Thanh Hoa into a model province as Uncle Ho instructed."
To contribute to the research and education of revolutionary traditions for future generations, Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum has made constant efforts to collect and organize exhibitions to introduce documents, artifacts, and typical images related to the fight to protect Ham Rong bridge by our army and people.
The tour guide team at the Museum always innovates in thinking and professional activities, improving the quality of service in a professional manner, attracting visitors.

Mr. Trinh Dinh Duong, Director of Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum said: "The Provincial Museum is honored and proud to be the place to store and preserve valuable information and documents about the Ham Rong victory. With the responsibility of those working in the museum, we will be the bridge between documents, artifacts, and heritage values about the Ham Rong victory to the public, domestic and foreign visitors, conveying the ideals of life and the brave fighting spirit of the army and people of Ham Rong-Thanh Hoa to generations. We will continue to expand the collection of documents and artifacts about Ham Rong to complete the display space of the Ham Rong victory...."
Like a slow-motion film, each image and each artifact at Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum is imbued with memories of the battle to protect the legendary Ham Rong Bridge 60 years ago.
The heroic song of Ham Rong still echoes with the mountains and rivers, so that names such as: Hill C4, Ham Rong Bridge, Quyet Thang Hill, Thanh Hoa Provincial Museum... have become destinations with educational significance, promoting the tradition of "remembering the source of water when drinking water", "repaying gratitude", and are red addresses for educating revolutionary traditions for today's and tomorrow's young generations./.
