Father's "cruel" decision saved his son's life

Surely many people do not think to recognize when looking at the image of the boy before and now.

What were you doing when you were 20? Most of us were college students pursuing our favorite career in school. There were also more unusual cases like athletes, social media celebrities, or young artists.

No matter what you do, the age of 20 still makes people think of youthful energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to do everything.

Yet there are 20-year-olds who choose to close the door, stay home, surf the phone and cut off contact with the real world. The tragedy and journey to escape this state of Chu Quang (name has been changed) - a young man from China below is an example.

5 years at home playing with phone

Chu Quang was originally a cheerful and active boy. During his junior high school years, he became a victim of bullying at school. Faced with this situation, Quang chose to silently endure it, not telling his parents or teachers. From then on, he changed completely.

After graduating from junior high school, Chu Quang, although only 15 years old, refused to go to high school because he was afraid of going to school. His parents realized this and, not wanting their son to be hurt any further, agreed to let him stay home. At first, they thought that maybe staying home for a while would help him adjust his mood, and then it would be okay to go to school 1-2 years late. But the reality was much more cruel.

Chu Quang almost collapsed completely. He refused to talk to anyone and stayed at home all day in a daze. What was more worrying was that as time passed, his condition did not improve.

Every day, Chu Quang did nothing but lie in bed and play with his phone. It seemed that other than his phone, nothing else in the world could interest him. His blanket had also become his inseparable object, his strongest shield to hide from the outside world.

Chu Quang (white shirt) lies in a room as messy as a garbage dump.

Chu Quang's parents also had to go out to work and couldn't always be there to supervise their son. When he was home alone, he gradually became lazy to eat, only eating one meal a day to sustain his life.

Not seeing outsiders, not communicating with others is no different than giving up on himself. At home, Chu Quang became more and more slovenly, not bathing, not cutting his hair, not cutting his nails, only groping around when his parents forced him to. It wouldn't be wrong to say he looked like a homeless person on the street.

Just like that, Chu Quang stayed at home for 5 years, from a 15-year-old boy to a 20-year-old man. However, this young man did not care about his appearance or study like his peers. Instead, he let his hair grow past his shoulders, and his body was as skinny as a stick due to malnutrition, inadequate eating, and lack of exercise.

Dramatic change

Too worried about their son's situation, Chu Quang's parents finally made the final decision to send their son to a youth education facility for support. Not wanting their son to listen in and avoid them, Chu Quang's father had to sign the papers to complete the procedure right in the parking garage of the building where the family lived.

Chu Quang's father signed the papers right in the parking garage.

Then, two coaches went straight to the house to take Chu Quang away. At first, he resisted, his eyes fixed on the coach, his hands tightly holding his phone, but he was still dragged away.

From the time he was in the car until he arrived at school, Chu Quang was always in a daze, avoiding everyone, his hands clenched to show his anxiety. Every time someone approached, he would unconsciously step back, turn his head away, not daring to look at the other person.

When he was taken away, Chu Quang was always in a state of silence and fear.

When he was able to convince Chu Quang to enter the dormitory and wash his face, he suddenly squatted down in front of the door, cowering, hugging his legs tightly and lowering his head into his knees in fear. His actions were so unconscious that the coach had to forcefully take Chu Quang back to his room.

Here, Chu Quang began to be helped by the coach with personal hygiene, haircut, washing, face washing, fingernail and toenail cutting, and changing into new clothes. After that, he was taken on a tour around the area, but each step was very slow, as if he could not keep his balance.

The coach predicted that due to lying in bed for a long time without moving, his muscles would atrophy, so he proactively walked slowly to help him adapt.

In addition to the presence of the coaches, Chu Quang also has the companionship of the students being sent here. The teenagers sent to this facility are like Chu Quang, addicted to games, lazy to exercise and far from real life. Therefore, he receives sympathy and enthusiastic support.

Two friends appeared to help him integrate into the collective life such as eating together, jogging together, going to class,... However, Chu Quang's poor health prevented him from running, most of the time he had to rely on the support of his classmates.

In the early days, Chu Quang's father was also present at this facility to visit, he and his son went for walks and read books.

Chu Quang's father was also present with his son in the first days.

Currently, Chu Quang has changed for the better, no longer as lazy as before. Although his eyes are still evasive and fearful, when asked, he will nod in response. However, the road to recovery is still very long, hopefully he will soon overcome it and return to normal life.
