Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank - HoSE: VPB) has just updated changes in shareholders owning 1% or more of charter capital.
Accordingly, information from shareholder Composite Capital Master Fund LP, from October 9, this fund is no longer a shareholder owning 1% of charter capital at VPBank.
Composite Capital Master Fund LP is an investment fund registered in the Cayman Islands (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland).
Composite Capital Master Fund LP is no longer a shareholder owning 1% of VPBank's capital.
Previously, according to the list published by the bank on August 20, Composite Capital Master Fund LP held 135 million VPB shares, equivalent to 1.7% of capital. On July 19, the above foreign fund owned 2.73% of capital, equivalent to 217 million VPB shares.
In addition, on August 20, VPBank also announced a new shareholder, Tianhong Vietnamese Market Equity Launched QDII Fund, which currently holds 91 million shares, equivalent to nearly 1.15% of the bank's capital.
According to Bloomberg, Tianhong Vietnamese Market Equity Launched QDII Fund is an open-end fund established in China. The fund is actively managed and tracks the VN30 index. The fund invests at least 80% of total assets in stocks, at least 80% of non-cash assets in Vietnam-related stocks and Depository Receipts, and at least 5% of net assets in cash and government bonds.
In addition to the above two funds, in the updated information on July 19, VPBank informed about 13 individual shareholders and 4 institutional shareholders owning nearly 5.1 billion shares, equivalent to 64.2% of the bank's charter capital.
On the institutional shareholder side, the bank's strategic shareholder, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), owns nearly 1.2 billion shares, equivalent to 15% of charter capital.
DIERA Corp JSC is holding 348.8 million shares, equivalent to 4.39% of charter capital. Vietnam Enterprise Investments owns 101 million shares, equivalent to 1.28% of VPBank's capital.
Regarding individual shareholders, according to the published list, Mr. Ngo Chi Dung - Chairman of VPBank currently owns 328.5 million shares, equivalent to 4.141% of capital.
In the market, in the morning trading session of October 16, VPB shares are being traded at VND 20,900/share with a trading volume of more than 5.7 million units.
Recently, another bank that has also changed its foreign shareholders is TPBank. Accordingly, the information updated to September 30, 2024, PYN Elite Fund (NON-UCITS) has increased the number of shares owned to 104 million shares, equivalent to 4.728% of capital at TPBank. In the previous announcement, this fund owned nearly 79 million shares, equivalent to 3.59%.
At the same time, the bank also announced that the International Finance Corporation (IFC) is no longer a shareholder owning 1% or more of the bank's charter capital according to information provided by the Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation (VSDC) as of September 30, 2024. Previously, IFC held 25.8 million shares, equivalent to 1.17% of capital at TPBank.
