Regularly posting articles selling Valentine gift boxes for prices ranging from 300,000 - 999,000 VND, Ho Hanh account said that she had orders placed before Tet, and many orders have been delivered to customers.

"Gift boxes with low values from 300,000 - 500,000 VND will include a box of fresh flowers and chocolates along with a lipstick. More expensive gift boxes will have additional bottles of perfume with different values. With the cost not too expensive, many people ask to buy my products. I started posting them for sale half a month before Tet," said account owner Ho Hanh.

Meanwhile, many people sell chocolates ranging in price from a few tens of thousands of dong to high-end imported chocolates costing up to millions of dong.

"Cheap chocolate products are mainly made by the sellers themselves. Although they are cheap, the taste and appearance are very eye-catching, so they are often chosen by people with limited economic conditions. This is the most popular type. Expensive types are very picky, so we usually only get them from wholesale facilities when customers order," said Ms. Vu Thi Quynh (Dong Da, Hanoi).

While looking for a suitable gift to give his girlfriend on February 14, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai (Dong Da, Hanoi) said: "Compared to previous years, I see that the value of the gifts for sale this year is not too high. However, there are no new unique products, just the same products as every year. I want to buy a more special gift to be different from previous years, but I haven't found one yet."

According to some gift shops, the most popular items this year are mainly cosmetics and jewelry. However, because Valentine’s Day falls right on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2024, buyers tend to buy gifts on social media platforms. Fresh flower and gift shops are bustling with sales but have few buyers.

"Valentine's Day falls on the 5th day of Tet, so many people are still in the countryside and have not yet returned to big cities. The number of customers viewing products has decreased significantly, but social networking sites are somewhat more vibrant," said the owner of a gift shop on Cau Giay Street.
