On the evening of June 25, Phuong My Chi officially released the MV "Gội gấm", marking the singer's third music product in the album "Vũ vũ co bay". After 17 hours of broadcasting, the MV reached more than 167,000 views and 15,000 likes on YouTube.
It is known that this is another product that Phuong My Chi collaborated with the "hit machine" DTAP. Previously, the two had a feverish collaboration with the song "Vu tru co anh". The song was composed by Phuong My Chi, produced by DTAP and added lyrics.
The highlight of the MV "Gội gầm" is the cup dance performance.
Unlike other MVs that have brought literature into music, "Gội gầm" does not recreate or retell the content of any literary story. The MV only focuses on exploiting expressions, body language and the cup dance performance of Phuong My Chi. However, the cultural value in this MV is subtly conveyed by the 10X female singer and her crew through metaphorical images.
In the MV, Phuong My Chi plays Phuong Dinh - a character in the literary work "Distant Stars". She and the two characters Nho and Thao are resilient, brave girls with noble ideals who go on to conquer new "mountains".
The characters' appearances are expressed through body language and small details like in the original work such as: Phuong Dinh (played by Phuong My Chi) with innocent eyes and thick braids, Thao (played by An Den) with small eyebrows, very diligent in copying songs so she always carries a book with her, Nho (played by Ngan Chi) has a small appearance and loves to eat candy.
“Gội gầm” is a song that carries the sound and culture of the Central region. When talking about the historical elements of this land, it is impossible not to mention the image of female generals. They are strong women who are willing to put aside their personal stories to pursue great aspirations.

Taking charge of the music of the MV, the DTAP boys surprised everyone by combining the timbre of the cup dance with the Western Trap genre, creating catchy, vibrant music.
Notably, the music of the MV also makes the audience "fall in love" with the extremely sweet opening singing voice of Phuong My Chi. This singing part was also written by Phuong My Chi herself.
“To write the song, I researched the folk songs of Nghe Tinh from many different sources. I listened and learned from my predecessors how to hum the melody. The difficulty lies not in writing the lyrics but in the way of singing, the way of vibrato, and the way of emphasizing the words to create the right sound of Nghe Tinh folk songs," said the 10x female singer.
The costumes in the MV have stylized elements from some features of Vietnamese national costumes and culture such as ancient motifs, Vietnamese brocade...
In terms of image, Phuong My Chi in "Gội gầm" is somewhat modern and youthful, suitable for her age, but still retains traditional folk features. To balance both modern and traditional elements, stylist Dada continues to bring folk-inspired costumes such as ao yem, ao dai, and ao ba ba, but they are stylized to become modern and dynamic.
