On September 25, Mr. Le Cong Thong, Principal of Nguyen Du Secondary School (Tam Ky City, Quang Nam) informed that the school is clarifying the incident of a parent entering the classroom to beat an 8th grade student.

Initial information, on the morning of September 24, while playing, 2 students from grade 8/9 and 1 student from grade 8/11 had a conflict that led to a fight.

Then, the 8/11th grade student borrowed the school security guard’s phone to call his parents. The male parent went to the school to take his child to the hospital. This person returned to school during the first period of the same afternoon, went into the 8/9th grade class and beat the other student.

When the incident was discovered, security guards and teachers intervened and the parents left.

According to Mr. Thong, yesterday afternoon the school was having a sports activity in the school yard, and there were many people cheering. Therefore, when the male parent entered the classroom to beat the student, the security guard was unable to stop him in time.

After the incident, the homeroom teacher asked these three students to write a report.

This morning (September 25), the school also invited parents and 3 8th grade students to work and will provide specific information later.

"Maybe it's because of the parents, but we must stop this immediately to ensure the safety of students and prevent similar situations from happening again," said Mr. Thong.
