Quang Nam Chairman hopes Tien Phuoc turns 'heritage into assets'

At the 50th anniversary celebration of Tien Phuoc Liberation Day (Quang Nam) held last night, March 10, Mr. Pham Van Doc, Secretary of Tien Phuoc District Party Committee, reviewed the local revolutionary tradition, especially the historical moment of the Tien Phuoc District liberation campaign.

50 years ago, at 4:30 a.m. on March 10, 1975, along with the sound of gunfire attacking Buon Ma Thuot to open the campaign to liberate the Central Highlands, the main force units of Military Region 5, the armed forces and people of Tien Phuoc district simultaneously attacked the enemy's strongholds and headquarters, opening the Tien Phuoc - Phuoc Lam campaign.

The attack was stormy and lightning fast, in just 12 hours our army completely liberated Tien Phuoc district.

The victory of Tien Phuoc - Phuoc Lam opened the general offensive and uprising to liberate Quang Nam - Da Nang province and the central coastal provinces, creating the premise for the historic and victorious Ho Chi Minh campaign.

According to Mr. Doc, from a rural area lacking in every way, plowed by war bombs, today Tien Phuoc district has gradually become a key economic garden area, an eco-tourism center with its own unique features of the countryside of Quang.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Van Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, emphasized that the Tien Phuoc liberation campaign on March 10, 1975 was a historical event of great significance during the long and arduous revolutionary struggle of the army and people of Tien Phuoc; at the same time, it had important significance for the situation on the battlefield of Quang Nam and the whole of Zone 5; contributing worthily with the people of the whole country to the great victory of spring 1975.

Entering the new period, Mr. Dung hopes that Tien Phuoc district will continue to promote its cultural and heroic revolutionary traditions; and improve the effectiveness of management and operation of the entire political system.

"Tien Phuoc is blessed with many beautiful landscapes, ideal natural conditions with a peaceful countryside space with unique features of Quang Nam countryside. In particular, the space of Loc Yen ancient village - a national relic - is taken as a highlight. This is a stepping stone for Tien Phuoc to 'turn heritage into assets', turn potential into material benefits", said Mr. Dung.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province said that this is a period of many opportunities and challenges, especially the revolution of streamlining the apparatus, promoting decentralization and delegation of power, ensuring effective and efficient operations. Therefore, Tien Phuoc district needs to promote administrative reform, building digital government, digital economy, digital society, and digital citizens at this time.

Within the framework of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Tien Phuoc Liberation Day, Tien Phuoc District People's Committee organized many special activities to celebrate the anniversary such as: The 2nd Ky Yen Festival in 2025 in Tien Chau Commune (Tien Phuoc District) with royal processions and main ceremonies; organizing a Bai Choi singing night; Loc Yen village festival... attracting a large number of local people and tourists to participate.
