On the afternoon of May 9, Comrade Le Duc Giang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Development (NTDP) in Yen Dinh district. Accompanying him were representatives of relevant departments, branches and district leaders.

Before the working session, the delegation visited the models and projects being implemented in the roadmap for building an advanced new-style rural district, including: Ba Trieu Square, Multi-purpose Gymnasium (Quan Lao town), Tan Ngu spiritual house and Tan Ngu village cultural house, the model of concentrated rice production in the direction of organic production meeting VietGap standards of Dinh Long Agricultural Service Cooperative, Dinh Long commune, Quan Lao Industrial Cluster.

Working with the provincial delegation, representatives of Yen Dinh district leaders quickly reported on the results of implementing the New Rural Development Program in the 2021-2025 period and building an advanced New Rural District in 2024. Accordingly, despite many difficulties, with the determination and consensus of the Party Committee, the government and all classes of people, the socio-economic situation of Yen Dinh district has achieved many positive results.

For the group of communes meeting the NTM and advanced NTM standards according to the criteria set for the 2021-2025 period, attention is paid to improving quality. Through review and assessment, the group of communes maintaining NTM standards (22 communes), the group of communes maintaining advanced NTM standards (7 communes) basically maintained good quality of the criteria, the group of communes striving to achieve advanced NTM standards in 2024 has basically completed the criteria and completed the dossier to submit to the provincial council for consideration and decision on recognition.
Regarding the construction of towns meeting civilized urban standards, Quan Lao town has completed 9/9 criteria; 3 towns are urgently completing the conditions to be recognized before July 15.
Regarding the maintenance of the criteria for a new rural district in the 2021-2025 period, the district has achieved 7/9 criteria so far. Two criteria are being directed for completion, including: health, culture, education; environment. Regarding the construction of an advanced new rural district in the 2022-2025 period, through reviewing the national criteria for new rural districts, the district has achieved 5/9 criteria. The remaining 4 criteria are being focused on for completion, including: Traffic; health, culture, education; environment; quality of living environment.
Up to now, the whole district has had 32 products recognized as 3-star OCOP products or higher, with an average income per capita in 2023 reaching 66.85 million VND, among the top districts of the province.

Regarding the plan and roadmap for implementing the advanced NTM district, the district strives to complete the dossier and submit it to the Central Council for appraisal and recognition of the district as meeting the standards of an advanced NTM district in 2024. Therefore, the district is resolutely directing and focusing on implementing the missing indicators and criteria; stepping up propaganda and mobilization; removing difficulties and obstacles for the establishments, striving to complete each specific criterion as soon as possible.
At the same time, strengthen coordination with the province's functional departments, assign tasks to each member of the team to complete the dossier of the advanced new-style rural district in 2024 for each sector, field, criteria, and general report of the district. Organize weekly meetings to listen to reports on the progress of completing the criteria, progress of completing the dossier, and reports on the progress of building the advanced new-style rural district to direct, remove difficulties and obstacles, and ensure the set plan.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Giang highly appreciated the results achieved by the Party Committee, government and people in Yen Dinh district in the past time. Especially the spirit of solidarity and proactiveness of the district in coordinating with ministries, branches, central agencies and the province to effectively and qualitatively implement the criteria of advanced new-style rural districts.
To complete the goal of reaching the advanced NTM district in 2024, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that immediately after the conference, Yen Dinh district should launch an emulation movement to build advanced NTM across the district, especially the movement to beautify the new rural landscape and environment. Assign specific responsibilities to each cadre and party member from the district to the grassroots to effectively carry out tasks and periodically report on the progress of implementing targets and tasks to the Provincial Steering Committee.
Direct and urge contractors to speed up construction progress and complete rural infrastructure projects as planned. Focus on completing the remaining criteria. Strive to have 9 more OCOP products in 2024, ensuring that each commune-level unit has 2 OCOP products. At the same time, strengthen coordination and seek guidance from central ministries and branches to complete the criteria according to regulations.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Giang also agreed with a number of proposals and recommendations of Yen Dinh district, including prioritizing financial support from the provincial budget to implement the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in 2024-2025 for the district to have more resources to implement a number of criteria for advanced new rural districts in 2024. At the same time, he assigned relevant departments and branches to coordinate to support and guide Yen Dinh district to soon complete the criteria for advanced new rural districts in 2024.
