Regarding the situation of the Cham ethnic group in Ninh Thuan province, Mr. Truong Thanh Long, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Home Affairs, said that in recent years, the Cham people in Ninh Thuan province have always been united, well implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, living a "good life, good religion"; preserving and promoting the traditional identity of the Cham ethnic group with a rich and diverse cultural tradition, contributing to enriching the cultural treasure imbued with the Vietnamese national identity.
Religious organizations in the Cham ethnic minority area of Ninh Thuan province properly organize and operate religious activities according to the Charter and regulations of the law; act as a bridge between religious dignitaries, officials, and followers in the Cham ethnic minority area with Party committees, authorities, and the Fatherland Front in the province.
Religious dignitaries and officials in the Cham ethnic minority area of Ninh Thuan province are people of prestige and virtue in the community, playing the core role in mobilizing dignitaries, officials and followers to implement the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State as well as respond to and participate in patriotic emulation movements in the locality.
In the warm and joyful atmosphere of the first days of spring, on behalf of the Party Delegation and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh expressed her joy in welcoming the delegation of dignitaries, officials, and religious leaders from the Cham ethnic group in Ninh Thuan province to visit the Capital and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee - the common home of the great national unity bloc; at the same time, she sent the dignitaries, officials, and religious leaders wishes for health and happiness; and wished the delegation a good and meaningful trip in the first days of the Giap Thin spring.
Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh affirmed that in recent times, under the leadership of Party committees at all levels and the participation in propaganda and mobilization work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels in Ninh Thuan province, religions in the Cham ethnic minority area have always been united, unanimous, and strictly and fully implemented the obligations of citizens in contributing to the construction of the locality and Ninh Thuan province. In particular, the activities of religions in the Cham ethnic minority area have created a unique and rich cultural identity, contributing to the attraction and building the image of Ninh Thuan province with rich development potential.
According to Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh, Ninh Thuan is a culturally diverse land with many famous tangible and intangible cultural heritages such as the system of Cham temples and towers, Ramuvan Festival, traditional crafts such as pottery making and brocade weaving. This is the pride of the Cham people in Ninh Thuan province. In addition, Ninh Thuan is also a locality with great potential for economic development, including the potential for cultural tourism development, clean energy development, and agricultural development.
Sharing concerns that compared to the South Central provinces, Ninh Thuan is still a difficult locality, Vice Chairwoman Truong Thi Ngoc Anh hopes that, with their exemplary role and responsibility, the dignitaries, officials, and religious leaders of the Cham ethnic group in Ninh Thuan province will continue to pay attention and, together with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and organizations, actively propagate and mobilize the people in general and the Cham ethnic group to continue to respond to the local socio-economic development policies, fulfill the obligations and responsibilities of citizens to contribute to building a stable and developed Ninh Thuan province.
Emphasizing that 2024 is an important year for the Front system when organizing the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh said that currently, localities are holding grassroots congresses, in the second quarter they will hold district-level congresses and strive to complete the provincial congresses by August 2024 to look forward to the 10th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term in October 2024.
Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh hopes that the dignitaries, officials, and religious leaders of the Cham ethnic group in Ninh Thuan province will pay attention to mobilizing people to actively participate in campaigns and movements launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front, especially the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", promoting the role of religions in protecting the environment and responding to climate change...
“Towards the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, in 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front will organize a nationwide campaign to mobilize resources to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households in localities that are still facing difficulties. Hopefully, with their prestige, religious dignitaries and officials in the Cham ethnic group in Ninh Thuan province will actively promote and mobilize people to respond to this meaningful campaign to support and create conditions for poor households to have a stable life,” Vice President Truong Thi Ngoc Anh wished.
