Meeting with Party members who are exemplary religious people

On the morning of December 6, the Steering Committee for Religious Affairs held a meeting with exemplary religious party members.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and delegates attended the meeting.

Comrades: Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee; Dang Thanh Giang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Giang, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee; Lai Van Hoan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of religious dignitaries, 93 outstanding religious party members in the province attended the conference.

Thai Binh province currently has 774 religious party members, of which 208 are elderly religious party members (aged 60 and over). In recent years, the provincial Party Committees and authorities at all levels have paid attention to leading and directing the serious implementation of the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws on religious affairs; ensuring respect for the people's freedom of belief and religion; creating conditions for religious establishments to organize religious activities in accordance with registered rituals and programs; allocating land and granting construction permits for religious establishments to expand, renovate and upgrade their places of worship. The relationship between religious dignitaries, officials and followers with the Party Committees, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and departments, branches, and socio-political organizations in the province has become increasingly closer, more closely connected and tighter; the great solidarity of the people has been increasingly consolidated and strengthened. Religious party members have done a good job of propagating and mobilizing religious people, dignitaries and officials in their residential areas to properly implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and local regulations, to live a good life and uphold their religion. They have actively participated in the movement to build pagodas and religious sites with "4 exemplary models", to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas. Many party members have not only fulfilled their assigned political tasks well but also been dynamic and creative examples in developing the family economy, creating jobs for many local workers.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee acknowledged and commended the positive contributions of the contingent of religious party members to the overall development of the province in the past time. He requested religious party members, especially elderly religious party members, to continue to uphold their sense of responsibility through specific and practical actions; create further changes in the implementation of programs, plans, socio-economic development goals, and building the political system at the local level, especially in areas with religious people. Carry out patriotic emulation movements and campaigns in areas with religious people, especially in the preparation for organizing party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term. At the same time, continue to carry out propaganda and mobilize religious dignitaries and followers to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws on beliefs and religions; Regularly maintain close contact, grasp the situation, thoughts, and legitimate aspirations of religious people; advise the Party Committee and the government to lead, direct, and effectively implement religious and belief work and properly resolve issues related to religious beliefs and beliefs arising in the area, contributing to maintaining security and order at the grassroots level. Elderly religious party members continue to promote their mettle and experience, be exemplary in patriotic emulation movements, create conditions to gather and attract union members, association members, and religious people to participate in grassroots political and social organizations to discover typical factors, creating resources for the work of developing party members for religious people.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee also requested departments, branches, sectors, the Fatherland Front, and socio-political organizations at all levels to continue to pay attention to and do better in religious work, guide, assist, and create conditions for religious dignitaries and followers to practice religion in accordance with the charter, regulations of the church and regulations of the law. Improve the quality and effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements of religious people, contributing to the successful implementation of the province's political tasks.

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission awarded certificates of merit to religious party members for their outstanding achievements in the Party's mass mobilization work in 2024.
