Promoting the potential and strengths of the locality, in recent years, the Party Committee, government and people of Thanh Ba town, Thanh Ba district have promoted the development of agricultural economy associated with trade and services, increasing income and improving life.

The Party Committee and the town government always pay attention to directing the economic restructuring in agricultural production, changing small-scale farming practices to commodity production; promoting the application of scientific and technical advances, bringing high-quality, high-yield and high-yield varieties into production. Up to now, 100% of the cultivated area has been planted with high-yield hybrid rice varieties, ensuring the correct crop calendar, the average rice yield is 52 quintals/ha. In addition, tea trees with an area of 17.3ha, forestry trees with an area of 146.53ha have applied technical advances to increase productivity, output and economic efficiency. Along with the restructuring in crop cultivation, the town promotes household-scale livestock farming. Thanks to appropriate steps, household livestock farming has strongly developed in the direction of commodity production. Currently, the total herd of pigs in the area is more than 700 heads, poultry is over 22,000 heads.
In 2024, the following projects will be implemented in the area: Km30 connecting road of Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway to Thanh Ba district center; renovation, repair and upgrade of Cau Vang stream drainage system in Dong Linh area - Thanh Ba town to Man Lan; traffic road from area 3 town to area 4 Dong Xuan... creating favorable conditions for trade, socio-economic development and infrastructure. Currently, 100% of inter-village and inter-commune roads have been concreted, 100% of households have stable electricity, and all main traffic routes have lighting at night. The Party Committee and the town government direct the maximum exploitation of advantages to develop trade and services.
The whole town has nearly 800 enterprises, cooperatives, production and business establishments, mainly concentrated in the market area and main roads with main industries such as: Production, wood processing, construction materials, mechanical processing, sewing, wholesale, retail of goods, food services... Total income from trade and services in 2024 will reach over 344 billion VND, accounting for more than 55% of the local economic value structure; average income per capita will reach 55.5 million VND/year; building a civilized urban area will meet 9/9 criteria, achieving 100% of the annual plan; the poverty rate will decrease to 2.78%.
Comrade Do Minh Tuan - Secretary of Thanh Ba Town Party Committee said: “The town continues to determine the development of the local economy in a multi-sectoral direction, in which promoting the development of agricultural economy for commodity production, applying technology to production associated with the development of trade and services. Actively replicating effective production and business models in the locality; planning concentrated agricultural commodity production areas; strengthening connections and cooperation with business partners to seek and attract investment projects in production in the area, increasing income and improving people's lives".
