Recently, there have been many fires at parking lots and parking areas across the country, causing great property damage. Although there has not been any similar incident in Vinh Phuc province, this is still a place with a high risk of fire and explosion, especially when people tend to use electric vehicles more and more, and the weather and climate are complicated and unpredictable.
According to the provisions of Decree No. 50 /2024/ND-CP of the Government, apartment buildings, collective houses, dormitories with 7 floors or more or a total volume of 10,000m3 or more; mixed-use buildings with 5 floors or more or a total volume of 5,000m3 or more are on the list of facilities with fire and explosion risks.
Therefore, to proactively prevent fires at parking lots, the Provincial Police actively coordinate with localities to strengthen propaganda and raise awareness of fire prevention and fighting for all people. At the same time, coordinate with relevant units to inspect agencies and units with large parking lots; focus on guiding, organizing training forces, practicing fire fighting plans at agencies and units, in which, pay attention to the forces on duty at parking lots.
In addition, establishments and units that organize points, parking lots for business, business services or other tasks of the unit must proactively comply with regulations on fire prevention and fighting safety conditions. For parking lots with a capacity of 20 cars or more, there must be regulations, prohibition signs, signs, diagrams or signs on fire prevention and fighting , appropriate escape; have specialized fire prevention and fighting forces at the facility, trained; have fire fighting plans approved by competent authorities.
Thereby, contributing to effectively implementing the movement "All people participate in Fire Prevention and Fighting ", preventing "fire" from visiting, protecting the safety of life and property of the State and People.
