France wins Da Nang International Fireworks Festival

The French team performed a thrilling fireworks display, rich in rhythm and loving emotions but still joyful and dramatic, and became the champion of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2023.

After 4 nights of performances with excellent performances by 8 fireworks teams from around the world, on the evening of July 8, DIFF 2023 entered the final night on the banks of the Han River in Da Nang city with the theme "World without distance" between the Italian and French fireworks teams. Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha attended the fireworks display at the final night.

The opening of the final night was the fireworks display by the Italian team. The Italian gunners brought a “fireworks dance” called “The Power of Art” that captivated the audience by using light in a space that was both classic and modern.

As the theme of the performance suggests, art plays an important role in supporting people, inspiring them and helping them cope with difficult times in life.

Inspired by the arts of Italy, the team "lit up" the sky of Da Nang, creating connections from all over the world, encouraging people to overcome difficulties to recover from Covid-19.

Meanwhile, to light up “the world without distance” as the main theme of the final night, the French fireworks team chose the main content of the performance as “Lighting up love”.

The French team presented a thrilling fireworks display, rich in rhythm, full of love but still joyful and dramatic. The interweaving of reality and the past touched the hearts of Vietnamese and international audiences.

At the final night, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Le Trung Chinh said that DIFF 2023, an event with the city's own brand, has returned after the pandemic with attractive and impressive performances by 8 teams from countries with rich experience in fireworks displays around the world.

With the theme “World without distance”, Da Nang city expressed the message of connection, erasing geographical distance, bringing countries and peoples closer together with the desire for peace, love and hope for good things.

Through 4 nights of performance, the art of fireworks with the sublimation and harmony of light, color and music has created emotions and unforgettable experiences for people, friends and tourists in the beautiful coastal city of Da Nang.

Mr. Le Trung Chinh emphasized: “After tonight, DIFF 2023 will come to an end, but the city's dreams and aspirations will continue to be nurtured and spread. We will continue to strive and make efforts so that every citizen can enjoy happiness, the city will develop prosperously, safely and have a living environment in harmony and sustainability with nature.”

After two intense and impressive competitions, the French fireworks team was awarded the championship title at DIFF 2023 by the Jury.

Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh awarded the Championship Cup to the French fireworks team, the champion of DIFF 2023, and presented a commemorative medal, certificate and congratulatory flowers to the Italian fireworks team, the runner-up of DIFF 2023.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded the secondary awards of DIFF 2023 such as: 'Creativity' Award to the Polish team and 'Most Favorite Audience' Award to the Finnish team.
