Mr. Do Anh Tu resigned from TPBank and TPS Securities

ANTD.VN - Mr. Do Anh Tu resigned from the Board of Directors of Tien Phong Bank (TPBank) and TPS Securities from March 18 for "personal reasons".

The above information was announced by Tien Phong Securities Company (TPS – stock code: ORS) and Tien Phong Commercial Joint Stock Bank (TPBank – stock code: TPB) this morning. This means that Mr. Tu is no longer the Chairman of TPS and Vice Chairman of TPBank.

Accordingly, on March 18, 2025, Mr. Do Anh Tu submitted a resignation letter from the Board of Directors of TPBank for personal reasons. This request was approved by the Board of Directors of TPBank under Resolution No. 12/2025/NQ-TPB.HĐQT dated March 20, 2025.

In his resignation letter, Mr. Do Anh Tu said: “For personal reasons, I submit a request to resign from the TPBank Board of Directors for the 2023-2028 term from March 18, 2025. Accordingly, from March 18, 2025, I will give up the rights and obligations of a member of the Board of Directors according to the law and internal regulations of TPBank. I pledge not to intervene, not to have any complaints or lawsuits related to these contents”.

Also on March 18, TPS also announced that Mr. Do Anh Tu had submitted a resignation letter from the position of member of the Board of Directors at this company from March 18, 2025.

Mr. Do Anh Tu is an Associate Professor in Energy Machinery at the Technical University of Prague, Czech Republic, and is a leading expert in the field of brand management and marketing. He was elected Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of TPBank for the 2023-2028 term in April 2023. At TPS, Mr. Do Anh Tu was elected to the Board of Directors for the 2021-2026 term from March 15, 2021.

Thus, TPBank's Board of Directors currently has 5 members, including Mr. Do Minh Phu, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Le Quang Tien, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Shuzo Shikata, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Suong, Member of the Board of Directors, Ms. Vo Bich Ha, Independent Member of the Board of Directors, ensuring compliance with the Board of Directors' membership structure as prescribed in the Law on Credit Institutions.

On the stock market, TPB and ORS shares are trading quite negatively. ORS has hit the floor for 2 consecutive sessions. Meanwhile, TPB was sold off yesterday with the highest matched volume on the whole floor, more than 80 million units, the market price decreased by 5.3%. By today's session, at the end of the morning session, TPB also decreased by nearly 3%.
