Gold ring price decreased by more than 3 million VND/tael after only one day

At 10pm today, March 21, the world gold price dropped sharply to 3,007.2 USD/ounce. Compared to the peak set yesterday, the world gold price has "evaporated" about 48 USD/ounce, equivalent to 1.5 million VND/tael.

In contrast to the rapid increase in previous days, the price of SJC gold bars today continuously decreased. This afternoon, the selling price of SJC gold bars was at 99.5 million VND/tael, but then the gold price continuously "evaporated", by the end of the day the selling price of gold was only 97.7 million VND/tael.

Thus, compared to the end of yesterday, the world gold price has decreased by 2.2 million VND/tael, and compared to the peak set yesterday morning, the domestic gold price has decreased by 2.7 million VND/tael.

Notably, the difference between buying and selling gold prices was up to 3 million VND/tael, an increase of 1 million VND/tael compared to noon because the gold company was "defending" when the world gold price continuously plummeted.

In addition, if in previous days the price of 9999 gold rings was always equal to or only 100,000 VND/tael lower than the price of gold bars, at the end of today the price of 9999 gold rings sold at SJC Company plummeted more sharply, to 97.3 million VND/tael, equivalent to a decrease of 3.1 million VND/tael compared to the morning of March 20.

Compared to gold bars, the price of 9999 gold rings sold at SJC Company is 400,000 VND/tael lower.

The difference in buying and selling price of 9999 gold rings at SJC Company is up to 2.7 million VND/tael, buying at 96.4 million VND/tael.

Experts advise against buying at this time.

At PNJ Company, at the end of today, the selling price of gold rings decreased to 98.5 million VND/tael, buying price 96 million VND/tael. Compared to the price at noon, the selling price of gold rings at PNJ Company decreased by 900,000 VND/tael for selling, and by 1.7 million VND/tael for buying.

At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the price of gold rings also fell from 100.3 million VND/tael to 99.9 million VND/tael and then closed at the end of the day at 98.9 million VND/tael, buying at 96.4 million VND/tael.

At the price of 3,007 USD/ounce, converted according to the exchange rate listed at the bank, the world gold price is equivalent to 92.8 million VND/tael.

Compared to the converted world gold price, the domestic gold price is still 4.9 million VND/tael higher.

Experts advise against buying gold at this time because of the extremely high risk. The possibility that next week the world gold price will drop even more, causing the domestic gold price to fall as well.
