Most recently, the children's story " Fish Linh Goes to School" by writer Le Quang Trang was honored as one of the 10 typical books of the year in the program honoring typical artists and outstanding books in 2023 organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Bac Giang province. Previously, the Vietnam Writers' Association also awarded the prize in the Children's Literature category to this work.

At the 6th National Book Awards ceremony (held at the end of December 2023 in Hanoi), Kim Dong Publishing House had 3 sets of books and books that received awards, including the set of 15 tips to help me stay safe (many authors) which won the C prize, the set of Happy Children (10 books) edited by Dr. Le Anh Vinh and the long story Chuon Chuon Chiet Tim Me by writer Nguyen Hong Chien which won the consolation prize. Previously, Chuon Chuon Chiet Tim Me was also honored to receive the B prize, the 2023 Literature and Arts Award of the Vietnam Association of Literature and Arts of Ethnic Minorities.
At the 2023 Literature and Arts Awards ceremony of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, the collection of essays and children's literature, Sparkling Flow, by Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tam, received the award in the category of Outstanding Work. The novel The Sun Always Beside Me, by author Le Trung Cuong, received the B prize.
The poetry writing section published by Kim Dong Publishing House was also honored by the Literature and Arts Associations of provinces and cities, such as the poetry collection Sai Gon tot may con cicadas (author Trung Dung KQD) with the Children's Literature Award, Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association 2023; Strangers loving each other (children's novel by Nguyen Ba Hoa) with an encouragement prize at the Quang Nam Literature and Arts Award ceremony organized by the People's Committee of Quang Nam province. The short story collection Hai trang tren dinh nui by Vu Thi Huyen Trang received the Young Author Award from the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations and the B prize from the Phu Tho Literature and Arts Association. The collection of Cham Folk Tales (including 2 volumes) collected and translated by teacher Kinh Duy Trinh received the B prize from the Duc Thanh Literature and Arts Award of Binh Thuan province (2017 - 2023).

The 4th De Men Children's Award - 2023 organized by the Sports & Culture newspaper also awarded the De Men Knight Award to writer Tran Duc Tien for his work Hello, is that you? and his achievements in writing for children. The long story Mr. Ba Bi and the Dream Children by author Lac An received the De Men Aspiration Award.
The publication "Learning Uncle Ho for a Lifetime" compiled by journalist Kieu Mai Son received an encouragement prize from the Steering Committee of the Award for Composing and Promoting Literary, Artistic and Journalistic Works on the topic of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.
In addition, the publication "The Lands of Memories - Vietnamese Landscapes in Literature" was honored to be named in the list of most notable works of 2023 for children and adolescents "The White Ravens", voted by children's book experts of the International Youth Library.
Wild Chang - Bear makes artist Jeet Dzung the first Vietnamese author - artist to receive the prestigious Carnegie Medal in the illustration category.
Kim Dong Publishing House has not only "received" domestic book awards but has also been honored with book awards around the world. After winning the A prize at the 2021 National Book Award, Wild Chang - Bear was purchased by Pan Macmillan Publishing House for publication in the UK under the name Saving Sorya: Chang and the Sun Bear. This publication has made artist Jeet Dzung the first Vietnamese author and artist to receive the prestigious Carnegie Medal in the illustration category, causing a stir in the publishing industry.
Ms. Vu Thi Quynh Lien, Editor-in-Chief of Kim Dong Publishing House, shared: "Book awards are a great source of encouragement and motivation for publishers. We also hope that the Kim Dong Literature Award (2023 - 2025) will be a motivating factor for more authors to write for children."
