Officially licensed to operate in 2014, with 12 members, up to now, after 10 years, the cooperative has 26 official members, and 104 associate members, with a charter capital of 500 million VND.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang An - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cai Bat Cooperative said that ASC certification is an international standard based on 4 main foundations including: Environment; society; animal welfare, and food safety.
This is the highest international standard for seafood. The goal of this certification is responsible production. When you have ASC certification, your products can be exported to demanding markets such as the US, Japan, Korea and Brazil.
Take farming area as main standard
Mr. Nguyen Hoang An affirmed that to achieve the results as today, the members of the cooperative always firmly take the farming area as the main standard in production.
"The farming area is the most important condition to create raw materials to make good quality products, meeting the needs of domestic and foreign markets," said Mr. An.

Currently, the cooperative has a production scale with a total aquaculture area of 178 hectares; processing various types of aquatic products, reaching 50 - 60 tons/year.
Mr. Tran Van Hong - Director of Cai Bat Cooperative said that the main production and business lines of the unit are aquaculture, preliminary processing, and trading of aquatic products.
According to Mr. Hong, in order to strive, the Cooperative has set specific targets for production and business results such as: the aquaculture sector targets 1,200 tons of black tiger shrimp by 2025 (400 tons by 2022); sea crab by 2025 reaches 400 tons (180 tons by 2022)...

The leadership of Cai Bat Cooperative said that the operation process of the Cooperative is very simple. That is, each member's land is produced by that member, but must follow the process and farming techniques set forth by the Cooperative, and when members create products, the Cooperative will buy them back to sell on the market.
"This work brings double benefits, helping members have stable product output and sell at higher prices than the market price," said Mr. Nguyen Hoang An - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cai Bat Cooperative, adding that this process not only benefits members but also creates a source of income for the cooperative to operate.

Mr. Nguyen Van Kiet - member of Cai Bat Cooperative said that when participating in the Cooperative, members also enjoy common benefits from the State's programs supporting the collective economy; regularly receive training to improve their qualifications to ensure stable productivity.
"The products produced are associated with the Cai Bat Cooperative brand, profits are shared according to the cooperative's regulations, and capital for production and business is supported from the charter capital contributed to the cooperative," Mr. Kiet shared.
Many products are OCOP certified
Currently, the Cooperative has 5 OCOP products, and typical rural industrial products at provincial and regional levels such as:
Frozen black tiger shrimp products are certified with 4-star OCOP, and certified as typical OCOP products in 2023; shrimp crackers are certified with 4-star OCOP; dried shrimp products are certified with 3-star OCOP; fish cakes are certified with 3-star OCOP, and live crab products are certified with 3-star OCOP.

In particular, the cooperative has farming areas that meet ASC international standards and are certified organic; shrimp and crab farming areas are assessed as safe for food, and the ponds have traceable raw material origins.
"The products made by the cooperative are consumed in Can Tho City, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hai Phong. Especially, they are present in AEO supermarkets in Long Bien, Ha Dong...", said Mr. Nguyen Hoang An.
With its achievements, Cai Bat Cooperative has just been selected by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union to be recognized as a typical national cooperative in 2024.
Cai Bat Cooperative also received many certificates of merit from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for its outstanding achievements in linking production and consumption of agricultural products; outstanding achievements in building fisheries associations; certificates of merit from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for innovation, development and improvement of collective economic efficiency in 2018 - 2019, and many certificates of merit from authorities at all levels of Ca Mau province.
