Originally a laboratory scientist, Fanny has developed her career through various positions, from quality management, drug registration, production management... before taking on senior management roles in France, Singapore and now Vietnam. With her short, stylish hair, quick demeanor and constant smile, it is hard to imagine the enormous responsibility that Ms. Fanny is in charge of. She is the first female director of the Sanofi Factory, the leading manufacturing plant of the FDI pharmaceutical sector in Vietnam. With a large initial investment of 75 million USD, this is also where Sanofi has its only product quality improvement center in Southeast Asia, and also serves as a production center for more than 12 different markets.
Fanny's most important responsibility is to ensure the safety of more than 400 employees here. Not only Fanny, all employees of the Sanofi factory are imbued with the goal of "Health in your hands", from which the spirit of ensuring labor safety and taking responsibility for every action is understood by each employee, when taking care of the safety, physical and mental health of themselves, patients and consumers is within everyone's reach.
At the factory, 9 Action Committees have been established to focus on different areas such as social responsibility, skill development, digital transformation, physical and mental health of employees... established by the employees themselves with specific and practical action plans. Interesting activities to help improve knowledge and experience for employees such as reading days, sharing activities about the beauty of cultures of countries in English, skill learning workshops... are regularly organized to connect employees at the factory. Fanny directly joins the management team to spend 2 morning coffee sessions every week to chat with the factory's employees, to listen directly to the employees' contributions to improve the working environment.
Under Fanny's leadership, the Sanofi Factory is also the spearhead in realizing Sanofi's sustainable development and social responsibility goals in Vietnam and the AMEA region (Asia, Middle East and Africa). With the goal of being carbon neutral by 2025, a series of energy-saving ideas, reducing plastic waste, recycling waste, saving water, etc. have been implemented with many impressive results. The factory has just completed two important goals in 2023: not burying household waste and converting 100% to renewable energy, helping to reduce nearly 8,000 tons of CO2 annually. This place is also responsible for implementing the green energy project "Rice - a new green energy source", the project Developing a sustainable and large-scale rice husk biomass energy source is expected to help Sanofi reduce 2.3 thousand tons of CO2 per year, reduce steam costs by 40% and especially use 100% of rice husk biomass energy in production, promoting the circular economy.
In addition to the work schedule, social responsibility activities are one of the important goals that Fanny sets for herself and the Factory's staff. A series of community activities were launched to attract the participation and companionship of many employees such as donating blood, collecting garbage to protect the environment, visiting and giving gifts to shelters and charity houses in remote areas... Employees at the Sanofi Factory also regularly take the lead in physical activities launched by the company such as cycling, marathon running, walking... For Fanny, in addition to getting used to life in Vietnam, participating in long-distance tandem cycling is a hobby to practice health, the most recent achievement of the couple was participating in cycling more than 1,200km in 76 hours.
