Building the block together
Having just retired from the lecture platform, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong was entrusted by the local authorities to take on the position of Head of the Front Work Committee (CTMT) of Block 1, An Son Ward.
The COVID-19 pandemic that broke out at the end of 2019 became a challenge for her in taking on her new duties. Implementing the epidemic prevention plan of all levels, Ms. Phuong and the Community Monitoring and Propaganda Team mobilized people to implement epidemic prevention measures, get vaccinated, and maintain environmental hygiene. Then, they mobilized support for families facing difficulties during the quarantine period...
According to Mr. Pham Ba Sang - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Son Ward, promoting the role of a front cadre according to Uncle Ho's teachings, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong and the Party cell and the block focused on doing a good job of propaganda and mobilizing people to build a civilized and sustainable block. Ms. Phuong has just been awarded by the Tam Ky City Party Committee for her outstanding achievements in 3 years of implementing Conclusion 01 dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo on the occasion of the 134th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024).
After the COVID-19 pandemic passed, participating in the campaign to install and activate electronic identification accounts according to the Government's Project 06, Ms. Phuong actively coordinated with the block to check each household. From there, together with the police, military and ward officials, she went to each house to install and activate VNeID for citizens.
Sharing about the work she has done, she confided that when assigned tasks by the organization, she must be dedicated, enthusiastic, and persistent in all tasks, especially when working with the people; she must go to every alley, knock on every door, and check every subject to bring high efficiency.
Imbued with Uncle Ho's teaching: "Great unity is the mission of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Front cadres are the ones who undertake that mission", in recent years, Ms. Phuong, together with the Front's committee and mass organizations, have actively mobilized people to participate in economic development and block building.
With the consensus of the people, Hoang Hoa Tham street has won first, second and third prizes at the city level for 3 consecutive years in decorating and beautifying the streets.
The people of the block contributed to building 5 concrete roads, upgrading the drainage system and paving the sidewalks of 4 roads with the motto of socialization, the State and the people working together, with a total mobilized budget of 155 million VND.
In particular, in 2023, the State will invest in building a cultural house with an area of 1,183m2, with a total investment of nearly 3 billion VND, of which more than 100 million VND will be contributed by cadres, party members and people.
Learning from Uncle Ho, more perseverance
Like many other typical examples of learning and following Uncle Ho at the grassroots level, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong believes that she must "follow" with practical, specific actions, associated with assigned tasks.
According to Ms. Phuong, learning and following Uncle Ho from small things, such as saving time, being serious in meetings... Learning from Uncle Ho helps her to be more patient and persistent in propaganda work, mobilizing people to implement the Party's policies and the State's laws.
With the motto of slow and steady wins the race, Ms. Phuong, together with the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Block 1, regularly propagate, persuade, and mobilize people affected by the Northwest - Thanh Hoa project in many different forms.
This project has been implemented for quite a long time and encountered many difficulties in compensation and site clearance (a project that applies two different mechanisms). Up to now, the majority of households in the project area have cooperated well and have been highly appreciated by the authorities.
With good practices and active mobilization measures of the Party Committee, People's Committee of the block, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations, including the role of Head of the CTMT Committee of Block 1 Nguyen Thi Phuong, the results of the implementation of assigned tasks of the block every year always meet and exceed the target.
The Party Committee of Block 1 has successfully completed its tasks for many consecutive years, and the Residential Area Front has successfully completed its tasks for 3 consecutive years. In particular, in 2021, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee commended it for its excellent performance. Ms. Phuong is a Party member who has successfully completed its tasks for many consecutive years...
“Learning from Uncle Ho from the simplest things, the smallest daily tasks, only then can we achieve great achievements. At all times and places, I am always responsible for my work, working together with the Party cell committee, the people's committee of the block to achieve many great achievements to make the Party cell, block and ward develop stronger in all aspects” - Ms. Phuong confided.
