In recent years, Tam Ky City has removed many bottlenecks in site clearance and urban infrastructure investment, especially for key projects that last for many years. This can be clearly seen through the urban picture that increasingly reveals many bright spots.
According to the City People's Committee, 2024 is considered the year with the most positive changes ever. During the year, investment policies for 22 projects were approved, investment policies for 4 projects were adjusted; 58 compensation, site clearance, and resettlement plans were approved with a total recovered area of 9.4 hectares.
The locality has basically completed site clearance, organized construction to create land funds and ensure drainage for a number of key projects such as Nguyen Hoang ring road to Khe Sung stream, completed asphalt paving of Bach Dang road, Nguyen Du - Bach Dang intersection, connecting infrastructure north of the commercial center, upgrading N24 canal and the road along the canal in Hoa Huong ward, a number of school projects, residential areas, etc.
Infrastructure connection projects (27 projects) also continue to receive attention to accelerate progress, striving to complete in the period of 2021 - 2025. The total public investment capital in 2024 is more than 455 billion VND.
To achieve this result, Tam Ky City has paid great attention and determined to create new momentum in effectively implementing breakthrough tasks, contributing to socio-economic development and urban construction.
In particular, identifying land acquisition, site clearance and investment in urban infrastructure construction as important tasks and breakthroughs in urban development, in 2021, Tam Ky City Party Committee issued Resolution 04 on improving the effectiveness of compensation, site clearance and resettlement when the State acquires land in the area in the period of 2021 - 2025.
In addition, the Standing Committee of Tam Ky City Party Committee also specifically assigned each member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the leader of the City People's Committee to directly monitor and direct the progress of compensation, support and resettlement to promptly grasp and proactively resolve difficulties and obstacles in each key project.
According to Chairman of Tam Ky City People's Committee Nguyen Duy An, in 2024 Tam Ky will be one of the localities with the best land acquisition and clearance work in the province, despite many difficulties and obstacles due to changes in mechanisms and policies. The city identifies land acquisition and clearance associated with promoting and attracting investment projects as a key and breakthrough task, creating a strong driving force for urban development.
In recent times, the city has called on a number of large, potential investors such as Sun Group and Geleximco to research and propose investment in large-scale projects in the city, such as the Nguyen Tat Thanh mixed-use urban area; the urban, technology and education area along Song Dam lake; the An Ha hill park urban area; the multifunctional mixed-use urban area in Hoa Huong ward; and a number of urban and service development projects in the East.
Pushing the breakthrough mission
Identify 2025 as the year of breakthrough to the finish line, thereby contributing to the completion of the socio-economic development plan targets for the period 2021 - 2025, all 15 main socio-economic development plan targets in 2025 set by Tam Ky City are equal to or higher than in 2024.
To achieve this goal, in addition to promoting administrative reform and building the government apparatus, the city continues to make breakthroughs in compensation and site clearance work to invest in infrastructure and attract investment in various fields.
According to the investment portfolio of the City People's Committee, in 2025, priority will be given to and resources will be mobilized to accelerate the progress of key projects such as Nguyen Hoang ring road (Phan Boi Chau - Nguyen Tat Thanh section), N10 road and residential areas on both sides of the road (Hung Vuong - Nguyen Dinh Chieu section), Thuan Yen Industrial Park infrastructure, residential areas, traffic routes such as Ba Ta - An Ha road, Tam Ky - Tam Thanh to Ngoc My, and the city's sports complex.
In particular, in 2025, the construction of the underground drainage project on Trung Nu Vuong Street, the embankment along Tam Ky River, the flood drainage channel and the western flood control lake, the Hung Vuong Street project, and the dredging of the Truong Giang River will be implemented.
Mr. Nguyen Duy An said that the very important task of 2025 is to continue promoting site clearance to attract investors, focus on urban development; research to improve and build new tourism products, creating attraction for tourism.
Therefore, the city's departments and branches focus on effectively implementing Resolution 04 of the City Party Committee; regularly inspecting progress at the grassroots level, and doing a good job of mobilizing, propagating, and holding dialogues to explain people's recommendations. Continuing to implement the policy of socializing investment in projects to improve and upgrade urban and rural infrastructure.
