As Secretary of the Tay Son Commune Youth Union (Lap Thach), comrade Vu Thi Thanh Loan is always energetic and enthusiastic, making many positive contributions to the Youth Union movement and the local socio-economic development; becoming a shining example for union members and young people to learn and follow.
In educating ideology, politics, and building a beautiful lifestyle for the youth, comrade Vu Thi Thanh Loan and the Executive Committee of the Tay Son Commune Youth Union (formerly Trieu De Commune) actively propagated the Party's directives and resolutions, action programs of the Youth Union at all levels, promoted "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle" among the youth; organized political activities "Lighting up revolutionary ideals for the young generation" in many forms.
The commune Youth Union organized for the Youth Union members to participate in a contest to learn about Vietnamese law and learn about the resolutions of the Party and the Central Youth Union on the Vietnam Youth application. Political and ideological education is linked to practice; documents and content of political theory education are posted on electronic information pages and on the fanpages of the village Youth Union branches.
The implementation of the campaign "Building model values of Vietnamese youth in the new era" and the campaign "One good news every day, one beautiful story every week" is being promoted.
Taking the lead in the volunteer movement, Secretary of the Tay Son Commune Youth Union Vu Thi Thanh Loan has called on village youth branches to register to participate in the youth work in building new rural areas, typically organizing the cleaning and repairing of village roads and alleys; renovating and repairing playgrounds for children and adolescents; planting flowers and ornamental plants, mobilizing people to build fences, planning household gardens, etc. At the same time, maintaining 12 youth-managed roads; improving the effectiveness of "Volunteer Saturday" and "Green Sunday" activities.
In 2024, the Youth Union of Tay Son commune simultaneously organized 3 environmental sanitation campaigns, cleared 5km of roads, collected more than 300kg of waste, removed advertising billboards, and planted more than 1,000 trees in the commune.
To further motivate those in difficult circumstances, Comrade Loan and the Executive Committee of the Tay Son Commune Youth Union mobilized the Youth Union to support and present 11 gifts to poor households, policy families, and children in difficult circumstances in the commune.
At the same time, actively respond to volunteer programs for the community launched by the higher-level Youth Union such as supporting children in remote areas in some provinces; supporting the Fund for the Poor; supporting people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters with a total amount of 35 million VND and many other necessities.
Directly participating in the program "March Border" in 2024 organized by Lap Thach District Youth Union in Ta Gia Khau commune, Muong Khuong district, Lao Cai province, comrade Loan brought love and gave clothes, necessities and many practical gifts to children in the highlands.
During the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year and the 2024 high school graduation exam, Comrade Loan proposed an initiative and launched the Youth Union to deploy the model "Exam Support Call Center" to answer candidates' questions, provide information about exam regulations, and provide psychological counseling before the exam for students and parents.
At the same time, deploy the model "Grab 0 VND Team, 0 VND Phone" to look after belongings, arrange free lunch breaks for candidates and support candidates when necessary, give gifts to candidates in difficult circumstances; participate in supporting the traffic police force to direct traffic and ensure traffic safety at exam sites in the district.
The volunteer models "Exam support hotline" and "Grab team 0 VND, phone 0 VND", "Thousand wishes, overcome the gate - Pass the exam" have brought positive results, demonstrating the creativity and enthusiasm of the Youth Union of Tay Son commune and comrade Vu Thi Thanh Loan, who was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Central Youth Union for her outstanding achievements in implementing the 2024 exam support.
Not only being active in volunteer movements, Secretary of the Tay Son Commune Youth Union Vu Thi Thanh Loan also mobilized young union members to pioneer digital transformation, apply science and technology in production and business activities; launched the digitalization project "Trieu De Commune Bamboo and Rattan Craft Village (old)" to promote and introduce the local traditional craft village.
At the same time, the commune police force has coordinated to support more than 2,000 children in making citizen identification cards. 65% of the youth in the commune have been exposed to and equipped with knowledge on digital capacity building implemented by the Youth Union, Association, and Pioneer organizations at all levels. Thanks to that, the rate of youth union members in the commune using online public services and electronic payment accounts is increasing.
Enthusiastic and proactive in volunteer movements, Secretary of the Tay Son Commune Youth Union Vu Thi Thanh Loan has actively contributed to the socio-economic development of the locality, and has been highly appreciated by the Party Committee, government and the higher-level Youth Union.
With her efforts in the youth movement, recently, comrade Loan was honored by the Provincial Youth Union as a typical advanced youth following Uncle Ho's teachings in 2025.
