Private economy - Pioneering force in the new era

After 28 years of re-establishment, Vinh Phuc has achieved many important and outstanding achievements in all aspects, becoming one of the bright spots of the country in attracting investment and economic development.

Contributing to that success, it is impossible not to mention the important role of the private economic sector with a rate of over 90% of more than 17 thousand enterprises registered to operate in the province. Private enterprises in the area have created stable jobs for hundreds of thousands of workers inside and outside the province, contributed significantly to the annual State budget revenue and are the pioneers in the process of technological innovation, improving the competitiveness of the locality.

To facilitate the development of the private economic sector, in addition to the general direction of the Government, the province has directed all levels and sectors to implement many specific support mechanisms and policies.

The highlight is the policies on administrative procedure reform to reduce time and costs for businesses; create an open investment environment; encourage businesses to promote the application of technology in production and business through preferential investment policies and capital support; support businesses to access domestic and foreign markets; regularly listen to promptly grasp and resolve difficulties and problems for businesses...

Actively implementing Resolution No. 45 dated March 31, 2023 of the Government on private economic development, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 84 dated March 25, 2024, setting a target of having about 17.5 thousand registered enterprises by the end of 2025 and 25 thousand registered enterprises by 2030.

Improve the quality and business efficiency of the private economic sector to strive for the sector's contribution to the province's GRDP to reach about 55% by 2025 and 60-65% by 2030.

Strive for labor productivity in the private economic sector to increase by about 5% per year; annually, about 30-40% of private enterprises have innovation activities; narrow the gap in technology level, human resource quality and competitiveness of private enterprises; strive to have many enterprises of the province participate in production networks and regional and global value chains.

In particular, 5 key groups of tasks are proposed, focusing on perfecting synchronous mechanisms and policies, facilitating private economic development; supporting the market; enhancing access to resources; supporting innovation, technological modernization and human resource development, improving productivity; improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, and unifying awareness and ideology on private economic development.

Thanks to that, many enterprises have taken advantage of the opportunity to become an important “link” in the production chain of FDI investors. Many entrepreneurs have achieved success thanks to innovative thinking, creativity and building appropriate business strategies, gradually building their brands.

A typical example is Tam Dao Bee Joint Stock Company (Honeco), Dao Duc town (Binh Xuyen). Established in 2002, with over 60 years of beekeeping experience, Honeco has built trust and reputation with consumers in and outside the province. The company's products are currently exported to a number of countries in the region.

Honeco is considered a leading brand in applying scientific and technological advances and investing systematically in product processing. The company is currently associated with more than 50 domestic bee farms, harvesting thousands of tons of honey each year.

The company has 3 modernly built factories, meeting food hygiene and safety standards on an area of ​​nearly 20 thousand square meters, with an operating capacity of over 500 tons of honey/month. In 2024, Honeco will maintain effective business operations, expand the domestic consumption market and ensure export orders to markets in Europe, the US, and South Korea; achieve revenue of 30.4 billion VND (up 50% over the same period), pay the State budget 1.7 billion VND; create stable jobs for more than 30 employees with an average income of 10 million VND/person/month.

The remarkable development of the private economic sector demonstrates the close adherence and timely direction of the provincial Party Committees and authorities according to the Central Government's orientation. The private economy "must be a pioneering force in the new era" and "not only is it an important driving force but also needs to be facilitated to participate in strategic areas" as affirmed by General Secretary To Lam in the article "Private economic development - Leverage for a prosperous Vietnam".

With the breakthroughs achieved, it is expected that in the coming time, the private economy will increasingly promote production and business efficiency, social responsibility, contributing to building a civilized and modern society and building a dynamic, integrated and developed Vietnam.
