Over the years, SMEs have played an important role in the economy, creating jobs, promoting innovation and contributing to the province's economic growth.
However, to develop sustainably, SMEs in the area need to take advantage of new opportunities opening up in the digital age. Good news for SMEs nationwide in general and Vinh Phuc in particular is that the Prime Minister has just issued Directive No. 10 on promoting the development of SMEs.
Accordingly, one of the key tasks is to perfect policies and laws, reform administrative procedures, and create a favorable and equal investment and business environment for SMEs. By 2025, reduce at least 30% of administrative procedure processing time, helping businesses easily access public services. Strengthen support for SMEs in digital transformation, green transformation, developing new business models and participating in value chains.
In addition, the Government is committed to creating a favorable and transparent business environment, helping businesses to develop with peace of mind. Effectively implement activities to support the training of high-quality human resources for SMEs, focusing on training to improve qualifications and professional skills for employees in enterprises; in-depth training in business administration; training according to actual needs of enterprises; online training for enterprises.
Along with that, focus on effectively implementing the issued plans and schemes; develop economic corridors, industrial - urban - service belts close to new centers; proactively propose solutions to develop new industries (semiconductors, chips...), thereby leading and supporting the activities of SMEs. Have effective solutions to promote lending activities of the SME Development Fund to create a channel to mobilize capital at reasonable costs for SMEs...
In fact, the presence of large corporations in the province in recent years has created conditions for SMEs to develop supply chains, expand services and participate in the business ecosystem. In addition, the province has potential agriculture and tourism, creating diverse opportunities for businesses.
However, SMEs also need to proactively improve their competitiveness and apply technology to adapt to market changes. Digital transformation is no longer an option but has become a mandatory requirement for SMEs recently.
E-commerce also helps businesses optimize processes, reduce costs and expand markets. Building websites, mobile applications, and connecting with customers via social networks will help businesses improve their competitiveness, especially in an era where online shopping is booming.
In order to remove barriers and difficulties, and create maximum conditions for SMEs to develop sustainably, the province has proposed many solutions such as preferential loan programs to help businesses access financial resources more easily. Tax exemptions and reductions for newly established businesses or businesses operating in priority areas.
The Provincial People's Committee always closely directs functional agencies and local authorities to organize training courses to help SMEs improve their management, marketing and business operation skills.
A typical example of an SME supported for development in the area is Atlantic Packaging Company Limited, Dao Duc Town (Binh Xuyen). During the period 2020 - 2021, the company faced many difficulties due to the impact of the global economy, especially the problem of importing raw materials from countries such as Singapore, Korea, and Thailand.
However, thanks to the support from the province's industrial promotion policy, the company was able to invest in a film blowing machine worth more than 1 billion VND. The application of advanced technology helps the company reduce power consumption by about 20%, increase productivity by 30%, and at the same time improve product quality, meeting strict market standards.
Thanks to that, the enterprise has overcome difficulties, stabilized production and created jobs for nearly 30 workers with salaries from 8 - 9 million VND/person/month.
With the support of the province, along with opportunities from digital technology and market transformation, local SMEs can take advantage of favorable conditions to expand their scale and improve their competitiveness.
It is important that SMEs have innovative and flexible thinking, take advantage of technology and adapt to consumer trends, thereby contributing significantly to the province's economy.
