People's Artist Lan Huong - Mrs. Cuc in "My family is suddenly happy" - said that the film crew hopes to receive constructive comments, not harsh criticism in the heat of the moment from the audience.
The film My Family Suddenly Happy by two directors Nguyen Duc Hieu and Le Do Ngoc Linh tells the story of a family of 3 generations, with 4 small families living together under one roof with special aspects compared to previous family films.
The show has aired up to episode 46 and there are only 10 more episodes left, but in the final episodes, many conflicts and tragedies still occur, making the audience quite tired of "running after".
In the most recent episode, the conflict between Danh (Thanh Son) and Tram Anh (Kha Ngan) has not been resolved. They both rode a motorbike together but "ignored" each other. The couple Cong (Quang Su) and Phuong (Kieu Anh) broke up, Phuong went back to her hometown, making the family atmosphere sad and heavy.
At film forums, many conflicting opinions were expressed. Some people said that the film is very close to young families, with very real conflicts. However, some also commented that the film is too long, leading to the content later becoming bland, revolving around only conflicts between couples in the family.
"Why is the drama still not over even though it's the end of the movie? Is the director stalling for time?", "Why are tragedies piled on top of each other? Phuong is already suffering so much that she still has to have a miscarriage and divorce?", "When will this family be happy and end the tragedy?"... are comments from the audience about the movie My Family is Suddenly Happy.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, People's Artist Lan Huong - who plays Mrs. Cuc, mother-in-law in the film - said that the film is like life, there are joys and also sadness, conflicts that occur to help family members Mrs. Cuc - Mr. Toai understand each other better, appreciate each other more.
"Life is not all rosy. I think the difficulties and challenges in the film are similar to those in married life. Anyone who looks at them will see themselves in them. The important thing is how the family members overcome them. That is what the film wants to talk about," People's Artist Lan Huong confided.
In response to the opinion that the film is too long, making many people bored and wanting to stop watching because of the consecutive tragedies, People's Artist Lan Huong said: "The audience has the right to love and hate the film.
However, we want to receive sincere, constructive comments, not harsh words that deny the hard work of an entire artistic team during 8 months in the harsh weather of the North this year.
Obviously, a part of the audience also has sympathy for the film. They follow and look forward to the next developments of My Family Is Suddenly Happy. Hopefully, everyone will persevere to see how the story unfolds. The more dramatic and climaxing the film is, the more impressive it will be to the audience."
Screenwriter Lai Phuong Thao also shared that the journey to protect and preserve the family happiness of Mr. Toai and Mrs. Cuc is a long journey.
In married life, sometimes members feel discouraged because they are too tired, and some want to leave, but she believes that optimism and joy will always be maintained, and family love is a great strength, giving strength to everyone.
"Therefore, the audience should accompany and give them strength. That is the wish of our film crew," screenwriter Phuong Thao sent to the audience.
Recently, in the VTV Connect program, director Le Do Ngoc Linh also spoke out about the film being criticized. The male director said that the film was originally built on the theme of family and each pair of characters in the film must overcome events, whether small or large.
The director believes that the way the characters overcome is always surprising, both adorable, realistic and inspiring to the audience.
"In fact, while the entire time the film has been on air until now, there have been lovely, happy scenes, but this period is a quieter, more somber period of the film. The characters have to face the biggest events in their lives and they will definitely find happiness in one way or another," said director Le Do Ngoc Linh.
