According to information from the Organizing Committee, the 2023 Autumn Music Competition has 107 contestants, organized in 2 categories: Chamber Music Solo (contestants play piano solo and violin solo) and Chamber Music Ensemble. The 2023 National Chamber Singing - Musical - Choir Competition has 60 contestants participating, organized in 2 categories: Chamber Singing - Musical and Choir.

Candidates and groups of candidates participating in the contest must be Vietnamese citizens of the age specified for each contest category, actors working at professional public and non-public art units with legal status, lecturers, and people studying at professional public and non-public art training institutions operating legally in Vietnam (for candidates from non-public art units, the requirement is to have a professional working period of 12 months or more up to the year the contest is held).
Speaking at the press conference introducing the two competitions, Ms. Tran Ly Ly - Acting Director of the Department of Performing Arts emphasized that the two competitions aim to find talented chamber music performers, encourage and honor groups and individuals who are dedicated to exploring and absorbing the quintessence of world chamber music, enriching the music genre and culture and art of Vietnam.
The 2023 National Chamber - Opera - Choir Singing Competition is a competition where contestants have the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and create new values. We really want to preserve and develop chamber music and solos, ensembles, as well as singing contestants to contribute to the overall development of the country in the integration period," said Ms. Ly Ly.
According to Ms. Tran Ly Ly, these are two competitions of quality and prestige for the music industry in general and Vietnamese chamber music in particular. Therefore, the Jury is made up of leading teachers, researchers, and artists in Vietnam with high expertise, experience, and prestige in teaching and artistic creation. There are 4 jury groups for the 2023 Autumn Music Competition and the 2023 National Chamber Singing - Musical - Choir Competition .
In particular, Prof. Dr. Ngo Van Thanh, Prof. People's Artist Tran Thu Ha, Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Phuong will be the Chairmen of the Jury of the 2023 Autumn Music Competition ; People's Artist Quang Tho is the Chairmen of the Jury of the 2023 National Chamber Singing - Musical - Choir Competition . Jury members of the competitions include People's Artist Do Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Bui Cong Duy... In addition, in the jury panels, there is an international judge from Russia, Korea, Hong Kong.

Meritorious Artist Bui Cong Duy - Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, the artist who won the first prize at the Autumn Music Competition in 1990 , said that he still remembers that year's competition, in addition to contestants from two Conservatories (HCMC and Hanoi), there were also contestants studying in Russia. For example, artist Nguyen Cong Thang, who returned from Russia at that time, also participated in the competition.

These competitions also create standards for later competitions," said Meritorious Artist Bui Cong Duy.
The closing ceremony is scheduled to take place on December 2, at the Hanoi Opera House, with the following awards: First Prize, Second Prize, Third Prize for contestants, contestant groups in each competition content in each table and the subsidiary awards (Promising Award for Chamber - Musical Theater contestants; Style Award for Choir; Effective Piano Accompanist for Chamber - Musical Theater contestants) associated with the name of the unit.
