To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, towards the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, on the afternoon of September 23 in Hanoi, the Vocal Department, Vietnam National Academy of Music introduced the program October Emotions .

The special art program has the participation of many famous artists of different generations at the Vocal Music Department, Vietnam National Academy of Music such as: People's Artist Quang Tho, People's Artist Quoc Hung, Meritorious Artist Lan Anh, Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, Meritorious Artist Phuong Nga, Meritorious Artist Phuong Uyen.
Besides, there are singers: Anh Tho, Quang Ha, Tuan Anh, Phuc Tiep, Le Anh Dung, Nguyen Vu, Dao To Loan, Bich Hong; young singers such as: Huong Ly, Huong Diep, Khanh Ly, Manh Hoach, Quang Tu, Ngoc Dinh, Rapper Mezzo, pianist Bui Dang Khanh - Trinh Minh Trang, MC Le Anh and My Lan.
October Emotions is directed by Dr. People's Artist Quoc Hung as the artistic director, Dr. Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan as the general director, musician Son Thach as the music director, and stage director Pham Hoang Giang. May Dance Group (VCAT) is in charge of choreography and dancing, and designers Cao Minh Tien, Ha Duy, and Thach Linh provide support in terms of performance costumes.
The program is divided into 4 chapters: Thang Long - Hanoi , Hanoi in the old days , Hanoi in the seasons of memories and Songs of Hanoians. The program brings together famous works written about Hanoi, highlighting the image of a heroic, romantic, and charming Hanoi whether in memory or in the present.
Audiences will see many familiar songs again: Hanoi People (by Nguyen Dinh Thi), Hanoi Song (Vu Thanh), Hanoi Faith and Hope (Phan Nhan), Hanoi Windy Night (Trong Dai), Remembering Hanoi (Hoang Hiep), Wandering Winter Afternoon in Hanoi (Phu Quang)...
Sharing at the press conference, Dr. People's Artist Quoc Hung - Deputy Director in charge of the Vietnam National Academy of Music - said that October Emotions not only recalls the historic October days 70 years ago, when the liberation army marched to Hanoi in extreme joy, in tears of happiness, with bright smiles, but also shows the continuation of tradition in the present and the future. The people of the capital still keep that spirit intact in the process of building and developing the country.
"The program is organized as a tribute to the beloved Capital that has witnessed the school's development day by day. The school's staff, lecturers and students are always proud of that process, bringing to the Capital in particular, and the country in general, many talents in the field of art; many high-quality art programs, contributing to the construction and development of the Capital and the country", said Dr. People's Artist Quoc Hung.
According to Dr. People's Artist Quoc Hung, October Emotions will depict the most beautiful things about the land and people of Hanoi over the past 70 years, since the Liberation Day, from now on towards a bright, beautiful and prosperous future. The musical colors of the program are diverse.
He added: "In addition to the famous singers of the Vocal Music Department, this year we invited some students who studied here, including rapper Mezzo, singer Quang Ha, and many students who won high prizes in competitions to participate...".

Also at the press conference, Dr. Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan - General Director - revealed: "The program has many songs praising Hanoi in the genres of chamber music, folk music, and light music. The audience will hear lecturers from the Vocal Music Department sing various genres.
Specifically, Phuc Tiep will sing "Send to the Southern sister" (music by Doan Chuan, lyrics by Tu Linh). Huong Ly will sing "Xam" and other youthful songs. Khanh Ly will sing "Ha Noi 12 seasons of flowers" , etc. We will approach the audience with all genres of music, which is something completely new in this program."
The Organizing Committee said that part of the revenue from ticket sales for the October Emotions program will be sent to support people in the northern provinces to overcome the consequences of the recent storm No. 3.
The program will take place on the evening of October 4, at the Grand Concert Hall, Vietnam National Academy of Music, Hanoi.
