
The organization of the conference to collect voters' opinions was carried out in 29/29 villages and residential blocks, corresponding to 29 Voter Opinion Collection Groups in the whole district. A total of 22,314 voters/8,079 households in the district were consulted.
The working delegation of the Department of Home Affairs led by Mr. Truong Hong Giang - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, together with representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and leaders of Nong Son district, inspected and attended conferences to collect voters' opinions at a number of locations.
According to the reporter of Quang Nam Newspaper, the organization of the conference to collect voters' opinions was carried out seriously and thoughtfully. The posting of the voter list and propaganda work were paid attention to and ensured by the Voter Opinion Collection Teams.

At the conference, the representative of the Voters' Opinion Group informed the purpose and significance of the conference; and at the same time, briefly presented the content of the Project on arranging district-level administrative units for the period 2023 - 2025, thereby helping voters clearly understand the policy of merging Que Son and Nong Son districts.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung - Head of Phu Gia 1 village (Ninh Phuoc commune, Nong Son) said that before the conference, the village organized a review, made a list of voters and posted it in the village hall. Accordingly, the whole village had 607 voters/187 households.
Besides, the village organized propaganda about the merger in many forms such as through zalo groups, radio stations...
“For voters who cannot come to the hall due to circumstances, the Voter Opinion Group will assign groups to go to each house to collect votes directly. In general, voters are in high agreement with the policy of merging Nong Son and Que Son districts,” Ms. Dung shared.

Mr. Phan Thanh Dung, a voter of Phu Gia 1 village, shared: "I completely agree with the policy of merging Nong Son and Que Son districts because before, the two districts were one."
Meanwhile, Mr. Phan Minh - Chief of the Phan clan in Phu Gia 1 village, hopes that after the district merger, the Party and State will pay attention to social security and welfare, creating favorable conditions for people in traveling, health care, medical care, and administrative procedures...
Nong Son District's Department of Internal Affairs said that in order to collect voters' opinions, the department advised the District People's Committee to develop a plan and organize a conference to disseminate the implementation to key cadres from the district to the grassroots level.
The district directed to focus on information and propaganda work to create consensus among the people on the policy of merging Nong Son and Que Son districts. The Department of Internal Affairs organized training on professional skills, provided forms and related documents to serve the work of collecting opinions.

According to the plan, the entire natural area and population size of Nong Son district (with a natural area of 471.64km2 , reaching 55.49% of the standard; population size of 35,438 people, reaching 44.30% of the standard) will be merged with Que Son district (with a natural area of 257.46km2 , reaching 57.21% of the standard; population size of 104,128 people, reaching 86.77% of the standard) to establish Que Son district (with a natural area of 729.10km2 , reaching 112.70% of the standard; population size of 139,566 people, reaching 131.07% of the standard).
