On the afternoon of November 14, the People's Committee of Ninh Giang district organized the announcement of the resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units for the 2023-2025 period.

According to the resolution, from December 1, Ninh Giang district will have new communes and towns: Ninh Giang town (established from the merger of Dong Tam commune and Ninh Giang town); Kien Phuc commune (merging Hong Phuc and Kien Quoc communes); Duc Phuc commune (merging Van Phuc and Hong Duc communes); Binh Xuyen commune (merging Dong Xuyen and Ninh Hai communes).

After the arrangement, Ninh Giang district has 15 communes and 1 town.

Comrade Pham Van Khanh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Ninh Giang district for the period 2023-2025, spoke at the conference.

Ninh Giang District People's Committee requests that the engraving of new seals be completed before November 25, 2024. Hand over new seals and collect old seals of commune-level administrative units before 7:00 a.m. on December 1, 2024.

Organize a People's Council meeting at the new commune-level administrative unit to elect the positions of People's Council and People's Committee according to regulations at 8:00 a.m. on December 1, 2024.

District specialized agencies will organize a peak period of 6 months from December 1, 2024 to focus on converting documents for agencies, organizations and citizens according to regulations.

The headquarters of Ninh Giang town after the merger used the current working headquarters of the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Dong Tam commune.

Implementing the arrangement of communes and towns in the period of 2023-2025, Ninh Giang district has 144 commune-level officials and civil servants to be arranged. The district will arrange and arrange each new commune-level administrative unit with 32 officials and civil servants.

After that, the district will follow the roadmap, after 5 years at the latest, each commune and town of type I will have 22 officials and civil servants; communes and towns of type II will have 20 officials and civil servants according to regulations.
