Focus on the ecosystem
HyperOS comes with a complete focus on the Xiaomi ecosystem. The Chinese brand wants to develop a unified system that covers all devices in its vast portfolio, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, smart bracelets, lighting, home appliances, etc.
Lighter, longer lasting battery
One major difference between MIUI and HyperOS is the space they both take up on the device. MIUI takes up 12.53 GB while HyperOS takes up only 9.14 GB, which is a fair improvement. On the other hand, HyperOS also brings improvements to the core system. This means that the devices will offer longer battery life.
However, note that this extra battery life only comes after a few days and not immediately after installing HyperOS. At first, the operating system will do heavy work in the background and consume more power, but then users can enjoy longer battery life on their devices.
Similar features to Dynamic Island
Xiaomi has followed Apple's lead and integrated a new feature similar to Dynamic Island on recent iPhone models. Although this function does not have an official name, it is called Dynamic Notch. The area around the notch will display some information, such as charging speed and battery percentage, information about whether the mobile hotspot is turned on or when the terminal is in silent mode. It is expected that this feature will be improved in the near future.

Remove bloatware easily
One of the biggest complaints from users is the amount of pre-installed software (bloatware) on MIUI. While there are ways to remove unnecessary stuff, the processes available in this interface are quite complicated for the average user.
For its part, HyperOS makes it easy for users to remove all bloatware. Removing unnecessary apps not only saves storage space but also frees up resources that can optimize the performance of the device.
Minimalist Control Center
HyperOS also brings some changes to the Control Center on the device. One new feature is that the icons are now larger and only appear on one screen that can be swiped. With the new platform, users are also provided with a new widget in the Control Center for playing music.
