As of 2:30 p.m., flooding on Nguyen Trai Street (the section passing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) was still occurring. The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warns that in the next 3 hours, Hanoi's inner city and surrounding areas will continue to have moderate to heavy rain with rainfall ranging from 20-50mm, in some places over 60mm.

This rain is likely to cause flooding of many inner-city streets from 0.1m to 0.4m. Vehicles participating in traffic on flooded streets will be affected, making it difficult to move, possibly causing local congestion. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
