At the graduation ceremony and awarding of diplomas at the University of Economics and Finance in Ho Chi Minh City on April 12, a couple walked hand in hand up to the podium to receive their master’s degrees. They were Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai, a student of Banking and Finance, and her husband, Mr. Nguyen Giang Nam, a student of Business Administration. Ms. Hai graduated as valedictorian of her major.

The two have accompanied each other in the lecture hall, doubled their motivation to study, shared difficulties, and finally reached the finish line together and enjoyed the joy to the fullest.

Ms. Hai revealed that Mr. Nam was the one who decided that the couple should both pursue a master's degree. She supported her husband's decision to go to school with him even though he had a stable job. Studying for a master's degree made it difficult for them to arrange their time and balance their lives and family.

“However, we never thought of giving up. We both encouraged each other to try harder and all obstacles were overcome. We studied together, tried together and graduated together,” said Nam.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance awarded diplomas to more than 300 new bachelors and more than 100 new masters. For bachelors, many students had excellent academic and training results, including high cumulative course scores and ahead-of-schedule study time. Among them, Tran Le Bao Tran, a student majoring in Marketing, graduated ahead of schedule with excellent results (GPA 3.64/4.0); Nguyen Thi Thu Truc, a student majoring in International Business, graduated ahead of schedule with excellent grades (GPA 3.65/4.0)...

At the master's level, the two new valedictorians of the entire course are Le Hoang Nhu Uyen and Pham Thi Nhu Hang, majoring in Business Administration, with an average graduation score of 3.8/4.0.
