This year, the festival takes place from April 27 to June 30, in the largest rose valley in Vietnam, spanning an area of ​​50,000 m2; gathering about 300,000 rose bushes, belonging to 150 rose varieties, from climbing roses, Sa Pa old roses to imported roses such as Monileux, Society, Abraham, Catalina...

Spread throughout the flower valley on this occasion are miniature and large landscapes made from roses, meticulously shaped into giant rose arches with 12 stone statues of Cupids. The tourist area places love picture frames for visitors to have more options to check-in and connect the love of couples with glass "wishing" bottles hanging on the rose arches.

In addition to checking in with miniature and large rose landscapes and "bathing" in the summer sunlight shining on colorful petals, visitors can participate in the rose parade from Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area to the center of Sa Pa town.

Tens of thousands of roses will be used to create colorful coats for horse-drawn carriages or antique trams, parading throughout the center of Sa Pa town. Moving from Fansipan rose valley through Ban May to the center of the town, the parade with the participation of flower cars and hundreds of local actors, in typical ethnic costumes, will stir up the festival atmosphere with performances recreating the unique culture of the Northwest people such as the wedding ceremonies of the Mong, Dao, Tay, Giay, Xa Pho, Kinh ethnic groups...

After the opening week, the Rose Festival will continue to implement many unique sideline activities to extend the visitor experience throughout the summer, such as The Big Wedding event - a mass wedding for couples, a food and wine week, a creative camp, musical instrument performances and many other attractive interactive experiences...

April and May in Fansipan is also the time when rhododendrons bloom all over the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. To see the "queen of flowers in the Northwest", in addition to traveling by cable car, admiring the forests blooming with purple, pink, white, red flowers..., visitors can "touch" the rhododendrons.

Visitors even have the opportunity to see hundreds of years old, rough rhododendron roots when walking along the first rhododendron viewing road in the Northwest built in the Kim Son Bao Thang Tu area of ​​the Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area.

Coming to have fun on April 30, visitors also have the opportunity to participate in the solemn flag-raising ceremony, commemorating the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. This is a ritual that the tourist area reserves for its guests on every special occasion. The red flag with yellow star fluttering on the top of Fansipan - "the roof of Indochina" will further foster the pride of the Vietnamese people.
