Many thought-provoking messages at Book and Reading Culture Day in Quang Tri province

On the morning of April 10, at the Provincial Library, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province held the opening ceremony of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2024.

After 9 years of organization, Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in Quang Tri province has truly become a festival for book lovers with many practical and useful activities. From there, it contributes to spreading the great meaning and importance of reading culture in life; building, forming, developing reading habits, needs, and movements among all classes of people, especially for teenagers.

Opening of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in Quang Tri

In 2024, activities on Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day will take place from April 10 to 30 across the province with the message: "Good books need readers", "Precious books for friends", "Give good books - Buy real books", "Good books: eyes read - ears listen". Thereby, to affirm the importance of reading culture, further promote the reading movement in the community, and at the same time raise people's awareness of the great significance and importance of reading for developing knowledge, skills and developing thinking, educating and training human personality.

At the program, the Department of Information and Communications, Truong Phuong Development Investment Joint Stock Company and publishing establishments, the Rural Book Program of Quang Tri province, Alpha Book Joint Stock Company branch in Nghe An, Quang Tri Book and School Equipment Distribution Company donated books to schools in the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam (middle) awarded certificates of merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 3 collectives and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in contributing to the development of reading culture in the province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hoang Nam, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, hoped that the activities of the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2024 as well as the following years in Quang Tri province would not only create an interesting, joyful and useful cultural space for those who love books but also create the best conditions to help officials and people in the province pay more attention to reading culture, thereby improving the source of knowledge for studying, researching, cultivating knowledge, skills... to apply in creative labor practices, building and defending the Fatherland, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province.
