Many new activities at Buddha's Birthday Festival in Quang Binh province

According to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) in Quang Binh province, the Buddha's birthday PL.2567 - DL.2023 will be held at Dai Giac Pagoda (Dong Hoi City) on June 1-2, 2023 (April 14-15, Quy Mao year) and in Minh Hoa district on June 3, 2023 (April 16, Quy Mao year).

Buddha's birthday is not only an opportunity for everyone to pray for peace and luck for themselves and their families, but also a time to learn about Buddhism and immerse themselves in the joyful and bustling atmosphere celebrating the birth of the Buddha.

The Buddha's Birthday Ceremony took place in Dong Hoi City with Most Venerable Thich Tanh Nhiep - Vice President of the Executive Council, Vice Head of the Central Sangha Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Executive Committee and Head of the Sangha Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Quang Binh Province as the Head of the Organizing Committee; Most Venerable Thich Truc Thai Minh - Vice Head of the International Buddhist Committee, Vice Head of the Central Information and Communications Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Vice Head of the Provincial Sangha Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, and co-Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee.

The Buddha's Birthday program includes activities such as Dharma listening, a night of releasing flower lanterns to celebrate the birthday (June 1); activities of Buddha's birthday PL.2567 - DL.2023, placing alms bowls to offer on the occasion of Buddha's birthday, a procession of flower cars to celebrate Buddha's birthday at Dai Giac pagoda, Dong Hoi city (June 2); Buddha's birthday in Minh Hoa district, a procession of flower cars to celebrate Buddha's birthday, a night of art to celebrate the birthday (June 3).

At the 2023 Buddha's Birthday Celebration (Buddhist calendar 2567) at Dai Giac Pagoda, Dong Hoi City, the representative of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Quang Binh province read the message of the Celebration calling on all monks, nuns, and Buddhists in Quang Binh to strive to study and practice, follow the great deeds and careers of our predecessors; strive to fulfill the mission of propagating the Buddha's teachings, unite and harmonize with the motto of living a good life and following the religion, for the benefit of the homeland and country.

According to the Organizing Committee, the Buddha's birthday celebration at Dai Giac Pagoda this year has many new activities. In Minh Hoa district, the Buddha's birthday celebration took place for the first time here, creating a good impression for the people of all ethnic groups in this mountainous border district.
