According to the representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, up to now, many localities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Ninh Thuan... have issued plans to implement the market stabilization program in the last months of the year and the 2024 Lunar New Year. Accordingly, the local industry and trade sector has assigned tasks to enterprises producing and distributing goods to proactively prepare goods sources to serve the consumption needs of people in the province, organize fixed and mobile sales points in combination with the program of bringing Vietnamese goods to rural areas, the market stabilization program to bring goods to all people at stable prices. It is expected that purchasing power this year may increase by more than 10% compared to the same period last year. The supply of essential goods has also been proactively prepared by enterprises very early with the amount of goods in reserve increasing by 10-25% compared to the same period. For Hanoi, to meet the consumption needs of people during the Lunar New Year 2025, the amount of goods reserved is carefully prepared, including 298,350 tons of rice, 59,670 tons of pork, 19,890 tons of poultry meat, 16,500 tons of beef, 396 million poultry eggs, 331,500 tons of vegetables, 16,560 tons of seafood, 16,560 tons of processed foods, 238,500 tons of fruits and 1,575 tons of cakes, jams and candies... Along with traditional sales channels, goods for Tet will also be deployed for sale on convenient multimedia sales channels with 268 websites providing e-commerce services and online sales channels (via phone, website, shopping application...) of traditional distribution systems in the area for consumers to proactively purchase goods.
