On August 22, Thu Duc City People's Committee held a ceremony to summarize the 2023-2024 school year and deploy tasks for the 2024-2025 school year.

According to the report of the Department of Education and Training of Thu Duc City, in the 2023-2024 school year, Thu Duc City has 384 schools with nearly 210,000 students. The total number of managers and teachers in the whole sector is more than 15,700 people.

As a result of the implementation of the school year's tasks, the preschool level has a rate of mobilizing preschool-age children to go to school (5-year-old children) reaching 95%. At the primary and secondary levels, the rate of mobilizing children to study in grades 1 and 6 is 100%. In particular, the rate of secondary school graduates is 99.8%, of which 79.4% of students are admitted to public grade 10.

To date, the locality has 87.6% of schools recognized for educational quality accreditation. The classroom ratio is 310 classrooms/10,000 school-age population (from 3-18 years old).
