The 2nd "Proud of My Fatherland" Half-marathon - 2025, organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, ended successfully after nearly 4 hours of competition with all athletes safely finishing in all categories.

From the early morning of April 13, thousands of amateur and professional runners, including many foreign families, were present at the Revolutionary Traditional Area of ​​the General Offensive and Uprising of Spring Mau Than 1968 - the starting point of the 2nd "Proud of My Fatherland" Half-marathon. The main running route of the race is located in Tan Nhut and Le Minh Xuan communes of Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City - a place with many famous historical and cultural sites.

The event with the second largest number of athletes was the 11 km distance, which brought the most exciting competitions. In the women's category, national athlete Nguyen Khanh Ly (Da Nang), participating in the tournament for the first time, went straight to the finish line first, winning the number 1 position after 47 minutes and 29 seconds. Nguyen Khanh Ly's direct competitor, Cao Thi Thanh Thuy, finished more than 1 minute later due to not being able to accelerate well in the final stage. The third place finisher was Ngo Hong Thuy, 10 minutes slower than Khanh Ly.

Meanwhile, one of the famous runners, who even won the 21km race last season, Le Huu Loc, this time, although he moved down to the 11km event, he could not beat his young opponent Truong Van Hieu. He finished about 40 seconds behind Truong Van Hieu and admitted that the lack of regular training over the past few months had caused his performance to decline.

Similar exciting competitions also took place in the 6km distance. Three female athletes Truong Hong Uyen, Phan Tieu Loan and Susan Tran, along with Ly Toan Phat Di, Nguyen Trung Hieu and Dang Quoc Tuyen shared the highest rankings in the two male and female races.

The most exciting part was the 21km race when veteran runner Le Thi Ha finished the distance fastest in the women's race with a time of 1 hour 34 minutes 54 seconds. Amateur racer of the Agrirun team Ho Minh Trang Nha finished second after 1 hour 44 minutes 56 seconds, while the result of the third place runner Nguyen Thi Nga was 1 hour 46 minutes 20 seconds.

The three highest ranked runners of the men's 21 km distance were Nguyen Van Chinh (1 hour 23 minutes 58 seconds), Nguyen Dang Khoa (1 hour 28 minutes 07 seconds) and Pham Quang Luu (1 hour 29 minutes 06 seconds).

The 2nd Half-marathon "Proud of My Fatherland" - 2025 was successfully held with high appreciation for the expertise and quality of the race from most amateur and professional athletes. On the occasion of this year's half-marathon season, the "Pride in the National Flag" program launched and implemented by the Lao Dong Newspaper has awarded 5,000 flags to Binh Chanh District to build "National Flag Roads" in the locality. This is the number of flags in the "National Flag Road" component of the "Pride in the National Flag" program.

On this occasion, the program "Scholarship to support ethnic minority and poor students" of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper also awarded 90 scholarships, each worth 1 million VND, to students with difficult circumstances living in Binh Chanh district.
