"Proud of My Fatherland" 2nd time - 2025: "Holding hands to the finish line"

Five out of six champions of the 2nd "Proud of My Fatherland" Half-marathon - 2025 are from localities outside Ho Chi Minh City.

The men's 11km champion Truong Van Hieu is from Binh Thuan, while young runner Ly Toan Phat Di in the men's 6km is from Dong Nai. The women's 11km champion Nguyen Khanh Ly is from Da Nang, while the women's 21km champion Le Thi Ha is from Binh Phuoc. The men's 21km champion Nguyen Van Chinh is also from Binh Thuan.

Having been featured in articles introducing the race, bank employee Ho Minh Trang Nha (Agrirun) finished in third place in the women's 21 km race. "Veteran" Tran Hong Phu (62 years old), a veteran with the rank of major, wore a military uniform and held the national flag to run the entire 21 km journey and finished in 139th place.

Artist Dinh Tien Dat shared: "Sports are an indispensable element in daily life, and if you can practice with thousands of people with the same goal, it will be even more interesting. That is also the reason why I participated in the 6 km distance at the "Proud of My Fatherland" Half-marathon organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper".

Coincidentally, the two guest artists of the competition, artist Vo Minh Lam and singer ST Son Thach, almost "held hands to the finish line" on the 6km run. At the award ceremony, singer ST Son Thach decided to donate 5 million VND to the program "Scholarship to support ethnic minority and poor students" of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper.

Athlete Pham Van Mach expressed: "Participating in the "Proud of My Fatherland" Half-marathon gives me more energy because of the resilience of the athletes, especially the "young" runners. This is a meaningful activity that the Lao Dong Newspaper needs to maintain annually, "Proud of My Fatherland" has enhanced national pride".

Vo Chi Trung - a disabled athlete participating in the 11km event - confided: "I had a work accident so my body is no longer intact. The Half-marathon "Proud of My Fatherland" organized by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper gave me the opportunity to experience and overcome myself. I hope the newspaper will continue to have more meaningful and practical programs to help the community."
