Mrs. Tran Thi Dang is 88 years old this year, in poor health, no longer able to work, her main source of income is the monthly elderly allowance of 500,000 VND and support from her children. Mrs. Dang's husband has passed away, their 4 children have their own families but their conditions and circumstances are very difficult. Many of her children also have serious illnesses so they are no longer able to support their mother financially.

The house Ms. Dang is currently living in has an area of 35 square meters , was built in 1988, has deteriorated and has been repaired many times, and is at risk of collapsing when the rainy season comes.
Faced with the above situation, the Steering Committee of the Movement to build houses for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in Ha Binh commune coordinated with Thinh Vinh to survey the actual status of the house; and made an estimate to rebuild a new house to support the family.
The house is expected to be built with an area of about 45m2 in more than 2 months, with a total cost of about 150 million VND. Of which, the state will support 80 million VND, the remaining amount, the local government will mobilize brothers, relatives, benefactors and organizations to support.

Mr. Le Van Phuong, 78 years old, is a single-parent household with extremely difficult circumstances, currently living alone in a makeshift, dilapidated house. Faced with the above situation, the Steering Committee for the Movement to build houses for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties (Steering Committee) of Thang Long commune coordinated with the village to survey the current status of the house. Mr. Phuong's family is one of 6 households with difficult circumstances receiving support to build a house. It is expected that the house will be built with an area of about 40m2 , completed in more than 1 month, with a total cost of about 105 million VND. Of which, the State will support 80 million VND, the remaining amount and labor will be supported by brothers, relatives, and neighbors.

In 2024, the commune supported 3 households to build new houses and 2 households to repair. Mr. Le Van Phuong's family is the last household in the commune to start new construction as planned.

Mr. Duong Van Khuong's family is a social protection beneficiary and has difficulty with housing. The family has 3 children, however, the economy is extremely difficult so they cannot help their parents. In recent years, Mr. Khuong's family has lived and worked in a house with an area of 30m2 , which has now seriously degraded, the tiled roof and wall frame are leaking, the walls are peeling... In the face of the above situation, the Steering Committee of the Movement to build houses for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in Dong Quang commune has coordinated with the village to survey the actual status of the house, and at the same time estimate the construction of a new house with a cost of about 180 million VND.

Mrs. Hoang Thi Thu’s family faced many difficulties when her husband passed away 20 years ago. Currently, Mrs. Thu is living with her daughter who has a brain fungus disease, bedridden in a makeshift, severely degraded house.
Faced with that situation, the Steering Committee of the Movement to build houses for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties in Ninh Hai ward coordinated with the village to survey, assess the current situation and identified Mrs. Thu's family as one of the households with special circumstances that need support to build a new house. According to the plan, the house will be built on an area of about 60m2 , expected to be completed in nearly 2 months with a total cost of about 100 million VND. Of which, the state will support 80 million VND, the remaining amount will be mobilized by the family from the help of relatives, benefactors and mass organizations, to help Mrs. Thu have a more solid and safe home.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Thach Thanh district supported 80 million VND/household so that families have more resources to build new houses according to level 4 standards with each house area of 60 - 65m2 , the corresponding estimated budget is 80 - 100 million VND.
