After Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen A will bring the book and photo exhibition to Hanoi and Lang Nu. All profits from book sales will be donated to Lang Nu people according to the author's wishes.
Many people who came to see the exhibition were moved by witnessing the lucky survivors of the terrible flash flood in Lang Nu village (Phuc Khanh commune, Bao Yen district, Lao Cai province) in September 2024.
The exhibition not only brings stories of humanity, but also sends gratitude to the community for their companionship and sharing in times of trouble, and Nguyen A is the one who recorded those humane moments.

She lost her loved ones, her house was completely leveled, and she suffered from injuries and terrible mental pain for a long time, but for her, being able to survive that terrifying moment was the luckiest thing in her life.

Half a year has passed, after that life-and-death experience, Ms. Kim still has pain in her body, but she still has to get up to live. She was given the opportunity to work at the Cultural House of Lang Nu Village and every day she takes care of the incense for the victims of the landslide. She became a tour guide telling stories to visitors to her now revived village.

6 characters from Lang Nu expressed their emotions when receiving affection from the people of Ho Chi Minh City
Sitting next to everyone, Village Chief Lang Nu Hoang Van Diep occasionally wiped away his tears, he was crying without words.
He understood the pain and loss that the villagers suffered after the natural disasters and floods, which made him always find ways to accompany and share. He did not remember the specific number of organizations, units, and individuals who came to support the villagers, the most recent being the delegation of the Lao Dong Newspaper and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Propaganda Department (now the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department). All the delegations who came were open-hearted to help, share, and encourage.

Because, as he confided, when he arrived at the deserted Nu Village after the flash flood, everything was so tragic. He thought that he could not write a book to include such stories, it was so sad!

At first, he intended to take photos to supplement his archive, not to make a book. However, the more he interacted with the locals and the rescue team, the more he thought he had to do something to revive this place, where mutual love and support were clearly shown in every loss and pain.
"So I kept going back and forth, to many places to capture meaningful images. I wanted the community to see the love and kindness of all the people for Lang Nu" - photographer Nguyen A recounted.
