Samsung has just officially released a special security update and recommends users update immediately to fix many important vulnerabilities.
This update from Samsung is particularly important in helping to fix many serious vulnerabilities. Specifically, it helps fix up to 51 vulnerabilities that threaten user data, of which 38 vulnerabilities are related to the Android operating system and 13 vulnerabilities are related to the One UI user interface.
Samsung smartphone users need to get security updates as soon as they are available |
Therefore, Samsung users should install this new update immediately to protect their personal information. Failure to fix these vulnerabilities could open the door for hackers to steal sensitive information or even remotely control the smartphone. Notably, among the vulnerabilities related to One UI, 11 are classified as medium or high risk.
Not only that, this update also brings significant security improvements to some Exynos chip models, especially for users in Europe, where many people own smartphones with Samsung chips.
The updated Exynos chip models include 980, 990, 850, 9820, 9825, 1080, 2100, 1280, 2200, 1330, 1480, 1380, 2400, 9110, W920 and W930. This means the update applies not only to smartphones but also to smartwatches from the Korean brand.
This important update was released by Samsung on November 4 and only the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Samsung S24 series models were updated. However, many other models are expected to receive it in the coming days. Users who own devices with the above chips are advised to install the update as soon as it is available to ensure their devices are safe.
