Ky Nam is the most difficult commune of Ky Anh town. In the commune, there are no projects or investment enterprises that are worthy of the potential and advantages of the locality. Therefore, after investors surveyed and intended to invest in Minh Duc village, Ky Anh town directed Ky Nam commune to take steps to inform and collect people's opinions on resettlement locations, creating favorable conditions for site clearance (GPMB) to welcome potential investors. The good news is that Minh Duc people clearly understand the common interests, so they are ready to agree with the policy of resettlement, for the benefits of the projects.
After working with other families in the village to finalize the resettlement site plan, Mr. Bui Xuan Luat's family (60 years old, Minh Duc village, Ky Nam commune) is ready to relocate if there is an investment project.
“Although there are some regrets about leaving the place where our family has been attached for more than 30 years, my wife and I, as well as other families, are happy and agree with the general policy. The investment of businesses not only promotes the development of the homeland but also helps people have jobs and develop trade and accompanying services," Mr. Luat confided.
Currently, Minh Duc village has 87 households with 265 people, the total area of the village is about 10 hectares. After consulting with the people through meetings from the town to the village, the people agreed to choose a land area of about 13 hectares in Tan Thanh village, Ky Nam commune as the resettlement location for the people in the village if there is an investment project in the area in the future.
To date, 100% of households in Minh Duc village agree with the plan for the new resettlement area. In the photo: Minh Duc villagers talk with the working group of Ky Nam commune.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thoai - Secretary and Head of Minh Duc village said: "After grasping the policy of the superiors on accompanying the locality in attracting investment, we organized many meetings to get people's opinions on the new resettlement area. At first, people were still hesitant, but after understanding the benefits and effectiveness of investment in the area, up to now, 100% of households in the village have happily agreed with the policy of relocation and planning of the resettlement area if there is a project...".
In order to facilitate the site clearance work, Ky Anh Town has reviewed the steps and developed specific plans for propaganda and mobilization of the people. Ky Anh Town has directed Ky Nam Commune to always take the motto of "mobilization as the main" so that people can fully grasp the general policy.
To achieve the result of 100% of Minh Duc villagers agreeing with the resettlement policy, the local government's advocacy teams worked persistently for a long time. The leaders of Ky Anh town and Ky Nam commune joined in to listen to the people's aspirations, thereby resolving their problems in a reasonable manner.
The people unanimously chose a 13-hectare plot of land in Tan Thanh village, Ky Nam commune as the future resettlement site. In the photo: A corner of Tan Thanh village seen from above.
Secretary of the Ky Nam Party Committee - Tran Quang Hanh said: "Ground clearance, relocation, and resettlement directly affect the rights, economy, and life of each household, so it is inevitable that problems will arise during the implementation process. From still having concerns, up to now, the people of Minh Duc village are ready to accept a change, sacrificing a part of their own interests for the breakthrough of their homeland Ky Nam.
Although there has not been an investment decision, with the town's proactive stance in attracting investment in Ky Nam, the resettlement planning plan for Minh Duc villagers has been focused on by the Party Committee and authorities from the town to the grassroots. Initially, the location for the future resettlement planning has been selected and 100% of the households in the village have agreed. This is an extremely important premise for carrying out the land acquisition steps, creating favorable conditions to attract investment in the area in the coming time...".
