Provincial leaders congratulate Khmer people on traditional New Year in Svay Rieng province

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, on behalf of the leaders of Tay Ninh and Long An provinces, congratulated the Khmer people on their traditional New Year in Svay Rieng province.

Accompanying him were Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh - Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of departments, branches, organizations, and armed forces of the province. On the side of Svay Rieng province, there were Mr. Men Vibol - Chairman of the Cambodian People's Party of Svay Rieng province, Chairman of the Svay Rieng Provincial Council and his wife; Mr. Peng Posa, Governor of Svay Rieng province and his wife.

In the joyful atmosphere of welcoming the New Year, Mr. Peng Posa - Governor of Svay Rieng province thanked Ms. Samdech Men Sam An and the delegation of Tay Ninh and Long An provinces for coming to the meeting to celebrate the traditional Khmer New Year of At Ty 2025.

Mr. Peng Posa said that over the past year, Svay Rieng province has continued to develop step by step, which is worthy of recognition. Road infrastructure and irrigation systems have been built, dredged and continuously upgraded and repaired.

The security and order situation in the whole province is stable, creating great conditions for people's lives and private investment to develop further. Currently, Svay Rieng is one of 25 provinces/cities in the Kingdom of Cambodia with operating industrial parks, attracting more than 200 investment projects, total investment capital of about 3 billion USD, creating jobs for more than 130,000 workers, improving people's lives; average income per capita is 1,799 USD/year.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh - Acting Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee presented gifts to Mr. Peng Posa - Governor of Svay Rieng Province and his wife.

In particular, over the past year, the Party leaders, authorities and functional forces of the three provinces of Svay Rieng, Tay Ninh and Long An have closely coordinated in strengthening the friendship, solidarity and cooperation in all fields of economy , trade, society, security, safety and order in border areas, the search for the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died during the war and other fields within the content of the Cooperation Agreement between Svay Rieng - Tay Ninh and Svay Rieng - Long An.

Mr. Peng Posa believes that in the new year, the three provinces will continue to coordinate well in all fields, contributing to fostering good neighborly relations, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability.

With the motto of “Good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability” between Vietnam and Cambodia, the government and people of the provinces have been promoting close friendship and close cooperation, contributing to maintaining peace, stability and sustainable development.
