Removing obstacles in site clearance for Component 1 of Khanh Hoa

On the morning of April 3, Mr. Tran Hoa Nam - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting with departments, branches, sectors and Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee to resolve some difficulties and problems related to compensation and clearance of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Component 1 Project, Phase 1. The meeting was attended by those who have not yet handed over the site at the project.

According to the report of Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee, the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Component 1 Project has 1,033 affected cases, so far only 6 cases have not agreed to hand over the land. Of which, 5 cases have assets on the recovered land (housing). The Town People's Committee assessed that the process of organizing the enforcement of some cases will be difficult in handling assets on the land. Meanwhile, during the mobilization process, the Town People's Committee found that some people's recommendations exceeded the local authority, so it recommended the Provincial People's Committee to consider and resolve. Accordingly, there was a case requesting to grant a resettlement plot to build a house because the entire house and land had been cleared (in this case, there was another plot of land in the same ward, so the Town did not agree, but the people explained that it was ancestral land, not used to build a house); one case requested to grant an additional plot of land with land use fees collected without auctioning land use rights because there were many people living on the same plot of land; In the case of a house raising swiftlets that was affected, but currently the locality offers a low compensation price for 1kg of swiftlets, so the family has not yet handed over the land.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoa Nam assigned the Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee to review and inspect the actual situation of each case, and summarize the report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and resolution. Particularly for the case of not accepting the handover of the site due to disagreement with the compensation price for bird's nest, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the locality to urgently coordinate with the Khanh Hoa State-owned One Member Limited Liability Company to determine the type of bird's nest; the family is responsible for providing documents and invoices for buying and selling bird's nest as a basis for the competent authorities to verify and develop a compensation and support plan.
